"Bestie!" Don't give me that look Josh. "I want details. Please let me live vicariously through you." Stop batting your eyelashes at me!
"Nothing happened!" Something most definitely did, I just can't explain it.
"So, he definitely did not shove his tongue down your throat." Oh, I am going to kill you! "You can't lie to me when your face is turning bright red."
"I hate you!"
"You love me." Get your grubby hands off me! "Crap!"
"What is it?" I shouldn't have asked I know from how the light goes out in his eyes.
"Father wants me at the office."
"Do you want me to go with you?" I do not want you subjected to that man more than you need to. He is not the same Marshall Harlan that we once knew. "You know I will."
"I love you, but no. Didn't you say you were going to go try out that new gym. Maybe I can dodge out of there soon and check on the men there."
"I'm checking out the yoga studio inside the gym."
"Tomato...potato."
"That doesn't even make sense."
"I know." There's that smile I love, and everyone falls for. "I'll see you soon Kit Kat." Kissing my head he jogs over to the town car waving bye. When the hell did that get here?
"Luckily the gym is a five-minute walk." Great now I am talking to myself.
I guess it's better than thinking about that kiss. Oh boy what a kiss that was. My past boyfriends have nothing on Johnny. He left me trembling and wanting more. I had to pull away just so I didn't throw myself at him anymore than I did. I would have let him have his way with me too.
"He's a charmer."
Yeah, but charmers are very dangerous and turn disastrous if you ask me. I have seen it happen too many times before. I will not let it happen to me again. Walking into the gym I am floored by how huge this place is.
"Welcome to Tone it Up. My name is Sally, how can I help you?"
"I heard about the yoga class here."
"Would you like a membership? Otherwise, it's twenty-five dollars per class. The membership is sixty per month and you have access to the gym, the spa, pool, tennis courts." Tennis courts? Seriously! By the expression on my face, Sally must get this a lot. It would be tiring if you ask me."Yes, I know we have a lot going on here. The second floor." Holy Hannah, there's a second floor too! "Has a track, smoothie's bar. You name it we have it here."
"You only charge sixty per month. I would think it would be double or triple that amount."
"You would think. The owner wants everyone to have the best experience, but the catch is, first come, first serve. Everything fills up quickly and we are only allotted so many people in each space at a time for safety reasons."
"I'll take the membership." Handing over my card she quickly swipes it and instructs me to fill out the membership form.
"Here is the key to your locker. Which is right down the hall to the left. You get complimentary gym attire, towel and water bottle. Thank you for becoming a member of Tone it Up."
After thanking Sally I make my way to locker room. On my way I stop dead in my tracks. What the hell are the odds? By God is he drool worthy. Johnny. Bare chested with sweat dripping down his body. I never found that attracted but I swear those droplets are running down him in slow motion, trying to linger to his body as long as possible. What I wouldn't give to be that sweat right about now.
