F: I won't kill him.
(Tw!)
Felix said, his voice firm despite the fear that threatened to choke him.
Mr. Lee’s eyes narrowed, his cold smile fading.
Mr: You won’t kill him?
He repeated slowly, as if testing the weight of Felix’s words.
Mr: And here I thought I had raised you better. But it seems you’ve let emotions cloud your judgment.
He added
Felix could feel Hyunjin’s presence beside him, steady and strong, but he didn’t dare glance his way.
He knew the stakes. He knew that one wrong move could mean the end for both of them...
But he had made his choice. He couldn’t go through with his father’s plan. With Lita's plan..or whatever.
Fe: I understand the stakes, father
Felix said, his voice steady, hiding the storm inside.
Fe: But this—killing Hyunjin—it’s wrong. He’s done nothing to deserve this. It’s not worth the blood on my hands or the guilt I’ll carry for the rest of my life.
Mr. Lee’s expression hardened, and he leaned forward, his voice dropping to a chilling whisper.
Mr: This isn’t about right or wrong, Felix. And you know it. This is about power. Control. Ensuring that those who threaten our position are dealt with swiftly and decisively.
Felix’s resolve wavered for a moment, but he stood firm.
He had spent his whole life being molded by his father, being used as a pawn in his ruthless games...sometimes he enjoyed it..only when it was deserved..or he didn't care...But this was too far. He couldn’t cross this line.
He couldn't do that..to Hyunjin..Not now..
Fe: It doesn’t have to be this way,
Felix insisted, his voice softer, almost pleading.
Fe: We can find another way, a way that doesn’t involve bloodshed...
Mr: And what way would that be?
Mr. Lee snapped, his patience wearing thin.
Mr: Do you think Lita will simply let this go? She’s already paid for Hyunjin’s death, and if you don’t deliver, she’ll turn on us. On you.
Hyunjin finally spoke, his voice calm but edged with defiance.
Hy: Let her come. I’m not afraid of Lita, or of anyone else who wants me dead. But I won’t let Felix be dragged into this any further. If he says it's enough then it's enough.
Mr. Lee’s gaze shifted to Hyunjin, a flicker of something—perhaps respect, perhaps disdain—crossing his face..
Mr: You speak as if you have a choice in the matter,
he said coldly.
Mr: But you’re just as much a pawn in this game as Felix is. The only difference is, you don’t understand the rules.
Hy: Maybe I don’t,
Hyunjin replied, stepping closer to Felix.
Hu: But I know that whatever rules you’re playing by, they’re broken. And Felix doesn’t deserve to be trapped in this hell any longer.
Felix’s heart swelled with a mix of fear and gratitude.
Hyunjin’s words were brave, reckless even, but they were also true.
