Sunday. 10:00 am. Today's the day I have prepared all semester for. Regionals, three move on and the other's have their season cut short. I wouldn't be able to live it down if I got cut in this stage of the competition, especially with my new partner everyone is telling me I should love; Anderson Gates. It's just two minutes before I go on the ice and of course I see her, Tatum DuPoint. We used to be best friends and it changed so quickly. One day best friends and the next her parents were shipping her off to boarding school. We haven't really talked since, well if you count insults as talking. Then we talked a lot.

"Oh Bellamy, didn't expect to see you here. You actually have to be good to compete here" Tatum says in her cocky voice as she pulls her new skating partner Evan around like a little dog.

"Then why are you competing here Tatum? Should I call security to take you out? It won't be too much trouble, they can do it at the same time as the trash" Anderson jumps in to defend me.

"You didn't need to do that, you're just fueling the fire" I whisper to him.

"Excuse me! Do you know who you're talking to?" Tatum says as she flicks her bejeweled hair.

"As a fact I don't, but I know you know how I am. Your mom asked for my picture earlier" Anderson says.

I pulled him away and hit his arm.

"What was that for? I was winning," he says, rubbing his arm.

"Next onto the Ice, in the pairs category. Anderson Gates and Bellamy Pierce" The announcer says.

Anderson grabs my hand and we walk to the entrance of the ice. My hands start to shake but He gives it a little squeeze. The shaking settles as we skate with our hands together and raise them as we soak in the applause.

The easy part of the routine comes and goes as we skate around the rink. The hard part is next. The nervousness brews in my belly and then I feel my eyes drift up into the audience and that is when I spot him.

'He actually came. He actually came. Wait, focus' I think as the chorus is about to start.

I give him a smile and I do my final motion before my big turning and jump sequence. I land every single one perfectly and then enter my lutz. I've been so scared of my lutz since Stassie hit her head doing her lutz last practice, but there is no stopping now. I enter the quad lutz and land it. I hear a faint, "That's my girl!" in the audience. I know exactly who that was from, I just hope my mother didn't hear or see him.

The last 'Oh-Oh-Oh' rings out into the arena and Anderson and I hit our last pose. I look out into the audience and everyone is standing and clapping including Emma and Henry with his goofy little smile.

Anderson and I skate off the ice holding hands and walk towards the locker room. Before I could enter I heard, "It was okay Pierce" from Tatum.

"Next onto the Ice, in the pairs category. Tatum DuPoint..." The announcer says but is drowned out by the door of the locker room closing.

"Bellamy Pierce! You dropped your arms in your lutz" My mother says storming into the locker room.

"Hello Ms. Pierce. Bellamy did wonderful today, why don't we focus on that and then make corrections for next practice?" Coach Brady says stepping in between my mother and I.

"Waiting is how you lose a spot at the olympics. While you're here resting people are getting better. You're not the only one who can do a quad Lutz Bellamy" My mother says

Anastasia eavesdropping pops out from behind the lockers and says, "Oh my god, who?"

"Tatum DuPoint! It is always that girl!" my mother says.
