Mahamaya, after careful calculations, had decided the right time of the day for Nishi and Aditya's marriage. With an added enthusiasm and overwhelm she had mentioned that such a rare confluence of astrological elements arrived once in a millennial. Naturally, all Magris were strictly instructed not to miss the auspicious moment at any cost.
Daksha, Mahamaya's chief adviser, had warned that the entire stretch of the time was also surrounded by deadly hurdles, hence every ritual must happen exactly at the right time Mahamaya had pointed.
"Do not worry, it would be my responsibility to look after all the rituals," Prani had assured, "This marriage will happen peacefully."
The three Malakar sisters were definitely ecstatic. Of course, they were not the only ones getting overexcited. It seemed the entire Magri clan was celebrating.
"Woah! Almost six centuries it took for a Marichin Bride! Nishi di, I am so fucking worried for you!" Oishi pursed her lips while Ela and Mini helped the others to dress Nishi.
"Language Oishi!" Ela reminded which of course Oishi ignored rolling her eyes.
"Think about it Ela di. The kind of load they are putting on her shoulders, that's awful!"
"Those shoulders are capable of taking way more load than you can imagine!" Ragnik's unannounced appearance at Nishi's private chambers shocked the women helping her get ready for the wedding.
"You are not allowed in here!" Mini yelled blocking his way.
"You Kami, stay out of this, I am here to see my best friend!" Ragnik sidestepped her ignoring the warnings Mini blasted at him.
"Give it a rest! He is clearly not going to listen," Oishi shrugged.
"It's okay, Mini, I am ready now, so no worries!" Nishi smiled at her nodding.
"No! That's not fair, Aditya is supposed to see you first!" Mini complained refusing to back off and again blocked Ragnik's path.
"Ever heard of the phrase friends before husband?" Ragnik gave her a sharp flick on the forehead, drawing a startled gasp from her and walked straight ahead where Nishi sat on a high tool.
"You - " Mini was about to launch another verbal attack on Ragnik but Ela quickly intervened. "Alright, we will leave now and come back to get you once Mahamaya announces.
"Huh! Are you serious? What if he gets her drunk?" Mini narrowed her eyes at Ragnik.
"And let her miss her first wedding night? I am not that heartless!" Ragnik winked which turned Mini's skin crimson and she shut her mouth in utter embarrassment. The ladies behind her giggled while Oishi laughed out loud.
"Sometimes I wonder, how you managed to get along with these two!" Ela shook her head at Nishi and strode out of the room dragging the girls along with her.
Ragnik sheepishly grinned turning to look at Nishi who was staring at him with a raised eyebrow.
"What?" Ragnik questioned rolling his eyes.
"You tell me. Why is your girlfriend pissed?"
"She is always pissed!" He exclaimed but Nishi didn't buy his excuse.
"Okay fine! I fucked her last night while she repeatedly asked me not to!" Ragnik blurted out in an elusive tone.
"You forced her!" Nishi's eyes widened in surprise as she could never imagine Ragnik trying to bed a woman without her consent. That was so not him!
"What! No!" Ragnik stood up immediately protesting. Then shrugged looking away and said, "Kind of seduced her!"
"Fucking hell! You and your manipulations! I can't believe Mini still falls for your sweet words!" Nishi shook her head in disgust but Ragnik kept staring at her with a smile.
