One week later,
Velvela's. P.O.V
I sat there with Trixie in my hands, staring off into space. So much has happened these past couple of days. Rose somehow managed to get a hold of us and told us that they had made it. She also mentioned that Jason was still alive but was somehow being controlled by some strange black substance that was alive and was using his body as a host. At first, I was relieved that he was alive, but my emotions were replaced by anger and fear when I heard the news. What did Kedra want with my husband and how are we going to get him back?
To make matters worse the hybrids have increased in number, like a plague of zombies. There have been numerous remarks about furries being spit on or even puked on by the hybrids, causing furries to go mad in a matter of seconds. Reports have also seen a black substance crawl inside furries' mouths and take control of their bodies. This is new because they never did that before, it must be because of Kedra's awakening. When I get my paws on her I will rip off those lips for kissing my man.
As for the girls, they're extremely worried and stressed. Layla, Cynthia, and Naomi had a check-up and are expecting any day now, so all we can do is wait. Thankfully I have some help from Rose's friends, who came to the future with us to help me and the others take care of things around the house as well as helping that new guy, Tod if I'm correct, with hybrid problems. Even future Sarah and her sister came to watch over us. They've been a blessing to have around here, everything gets done which allows us girls to have one less thing to stress about.
Naomi: You alright Vel?
I looked over my shoulder and nodded my head.
Velvela: I'm fine. Just thinking that's all.
Naomi: You're worried about him, aren't you?
I nodded my head.
Velvela: Normally I wouldn't be too worried about him, however, this time is different. Kendra is not a typical threat, I mean she beat Jason with ease. Nobody should be able to bring him down like that.
Naomi: That's true.
Velvela: Not to mention all this talk about Alaska being a kitsune, one of the most powerful beings known to this world.
Naomi: Yeah, that's indeed really crazy. However, when have things been normal for us?
I chuckled at that comment.
Velvela: Yeah, I guess that's true.
We looked out at the shore and listened to the waves.
Velvela: I'm going to go back and snap him out of it.
Naomi: W-what?!? You can't be serious. Kedar has control over him.
Velvela: I have to figure out something, I gotta help them.
Naomi: What can you do?!? Kedar is an absolute monster, who has our practically invincible husband under her control as well as an army at her command.
Velvela: So? If it were us in danger, Jason would take on the whole army himself for our sake. Even if it means his death in the process. I can't stand here and wait for him to come back, I gotta help him.
She remained silent for a moment, then nodded her head.
Naomi: Alright, but at least go meet up with Alaska and Rose.
Velvela: Yeah, hopefully, things are going well for them. I know they're training and whatnot, but it's been a week and Ricky hasn't done anything to try and take on Kedar. I think he's throwing in the towel.
Noami: Well, when you've sacrificed your greatest soldier then you tend to have that kind of thought.
Velvela: Let's just hope that Alaska knows what she is doing.
