Mistake number one was playing that round of beer pong and losing badly.

Thirty minutes ago, Chaewon was drunk enough after getting demolished by Kazuha and Sakura at the game. But now the room was spinning, and it was hitting her like a brick of alcohol and bad judgement.

Mistake number two was forgetting that she was in love with her best friend, Huh Yunjin.

Five minutes ago the four of them were dancing together, Sakura and Kazuha a little scandalously.

The air was hot as stuffy, the strobe lights were blinding Chaewon whenever they flashed and people were bumping into them from all directions; though she enjoyed herself until Kazuha urged Yunjin to 'find some hot guys to kiss'.

Yunjin, being blasted beyond recognition, simply smirked at the girl. "Watch this," She yelled over the music to the three.

She turned on her heels, and tapped on the shoulder of the first man she saw. He turned around, immediately looking the tall girl up and down. His eyes weren't at all focused on Yunjin's face; they were pinned on her behind as she started dancing against him, dipping down along to the music.

The darkness between the flashes was making it hard to see, but he put his hands on the girl's hips. Twenty seconds was all it took for Yunjin to find someone; thirty seconds was all it took for Chaewon to feel sick to her stomach.

His hands roamed her body, touching her in places she'd only dreamed of. Yunjin had her eyes closed, but once she opened them, she was looking straight at Chaewon.

Chaewon tried to ignore it. She was supposed to be Yunjin's best friend, and she had to act the part. She knew very well that she'd never feel the same about it.

But she was blasted as well, and all her rationality had been exchanged for alcohol. And as the guy moved to kiss her jaw, she couldn't watch anymore.

She stormed off through the crowd, pushing everyone out of her way as she moved towards the bathroom. Her entire body was on fire, but she blamed it on the hot club air instead of the boiling anger she was feeling. She was pretty sure she heard Kazuha yell after her, but she didn't care.

The small girl pushed through the door and placed her hands on the sink as she stared into the mirror. The bathroom stalls behind her shifted along with her wobbly movements, but she looked very still in the mirror.

She thought about Yunjin looking right at her as she danced against the guy. She couldn't see her expression, but it felt as if she was taunting her.

Well, if Huh Yunjin can do it, so can I.

The girl marched out of the bathroom with refreshed determination, but significantly less coordination. She bumped into nearly everyone who was standing in the very line that she'd ungracefully skipped.

She managed to find the dance floor again, but didn't see her friends around anymore. Not that it mattered anyway: Kim Chaewon didn't need her friends, she just needed to dance her heart out and make out with a stranger.

Somewhere in the middle of everyone, she decided that this was a good spot to be. Yunjin should be somewhere on the left side, so she was safe among all these faces she didn't even bother looking at.

Chaewon picked the first person behind her. She hadn't looked to see if they were handsome, and hadn't checked if they were a girl, either. It wasn't like she wanted some grand romance with a stranger: she wanted Huh Yunjin, who was dancing with someone else.

She pressed her hips back against the stranger, whose hands were now eagerly on her hips. Their fingers were long, and thin; their nails scratched against the fabric of her short skirt as she swayed along to the music.
