"Come on, just grab the four cards. Be thankful it isn't eight," Hyein groaned. She sat on the floor, her head resting against Eunchae's shoulder.

Behind them were Haerin, Danielle and Minji. They sat on the couch, watching the bitchfight between Sakura and Yujin unfold.

Sakura and Wonyoung shared one of the large chairs, just as Kazuha and Yujin. And then there was Chaewon, who was preparing snacks in the kitchen with Yuri.

The kitchen wall allowed a full view of the living room, so the two couldn't be bored whilst they listened to their friends bicker.

"You've been hiding that under your sleeve!" Wonyoung pointed at Sakura, who frowned.

"Isn't the whole point of the game not to show my cards?"

Chaewon heaved a sigh as she opened the fridge, searching for the wine. It was past three o'clock, which meant wine was in order. Or at least for those who kept thinking about their best friends.

Yuri put the bowl of chips down and looked at the short girl. "You've been doing that a lot, you know." She said.

The other closed the fridge and set the bottle down on the counter. "Doing what?" She asked, cocking an eyebrow.

"You're moping around. Is it about Yena? She told me you broke up with her." Yuri crossed her arm as she leaned against the counter.

Chaewon shook her head. She wished it was as simple as that. "I imagine she told you why," She mumbled.

"You're not beating me to it!" Hanni yelled down the hall, from Yunjin's room.

"Yes I am! You've got short ass legs, I could beat you a million times!" Yunjin's voice got louder as her quick footsteps stormed down the hall. She sharply turned the corner, nearly slipping– and charged towards Chaewon.

Her eyes were focused on the bowl of chips next to the small girl, but her legs seemed to move faster than she meant them to. She couldn't come to a halt in time, so instead she opted for the softer option of crashing into Kim Chaewon.

The small girl managed to catch her– but not without getting hit in the stomach by Yunjin's clumsy hand. Exhaling sharply, she rested her forehead against the tall girl's chest as she had to catch her breath. If it wasn't Huh Yunjin knocking the wind out of her, she'd have turned the kitchen upside down already.

"Oh, shit, Chae-chae. Are you okay? I didn't mean to–"

"Yeah, 'm fine." Chaewon breathed, steadying herself by placing her hands on Yunjin's sides.

She met the girl's eyes, which were full of worry. Chaewon could never be mad at the face which she held so dear. So she simply half-assed a smile, suppressing a wince.

Hanni arrived in the kitchen, panting. "You're fast, girl." She muttered.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Yunjin softly asked, carefully trailing her fingers over Chaewon's tank top at the spot where she was hit.

She wanted to ignore the fact that her best friend's touch felt electric. She also didn't want to stare at the girl's lips, which were awfully close and shiny. She wondered if she had put on the same honey lip balm as the one she'd tasted before.

Stop staring.

"Yunjin, are you in? We're starting a new round." Eunchae called from the living room.

Yunjin's fingers slipped away from Chaewon's stomach as she took a step back, and the short girl remembered how to breathe again. "What're we playing? I need to teach Pham a lesson."
