As much as Chandni thought that she wouldn't sleep, considering she is in a room with a complete stranger,the tiredness from the whole day made her body doesn't otherwise.

When she woke up the next morning,it was a little late than the usual,but considering that nobody wakes up this early anyway in the house,she didn't bother about it.

She soon got down the couch and looked at Reyansh who was sleeping at the one edge of the bed, such that three more people could still sleep on the other side. Chandni looked carefully to realise that he was hugging a pillow.

She thought to ask him,but soon brushed it away realising that she was now getting late.

She quickly went inside the bathroom for her morning routine and came out after nearly twenty minutes.

When she came out she saw Reyansh,fully awake and sitting on the bed.

"Why are you awake so early?" He asked and Chandni looked at her with a bewildered expression.

"I work here. I need to wake up early." She said, suddenly getting some confidence out of nowhere.

"No you don't." He said with a small smile.

Although Chandni thought that it was meant to be creepy but turned to be a sweet smile.

"Why? Are you sending me back?" She asked, her defensive mechanism getting the best of her.

"If you want to. If you don't,you can stay here." He said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Ohh...but you just said that I won't work here?" She asked, her voice shocking both of them.

"Chandni, stay here as my wife." He whispered.

"What?" She asked, clearly shocked at his sudden words.

"I'm saying that you don't have to go back,but don't have ork here either. Stay here as my wife." He said, sounding serious but it made Chandni laugh for some reason.

"It's a great joke. Now please I have to and work." She said trying to go out but he held her hand.

"Tell me one thing,why are you considering this marriage as something then?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" She asked, visibly confused.

"You don't want to go back. You want to stay here,I agree. You don't want to stay as my wife,I agree that too. But then why are you still wearing that mangalsutra?" He asked and immediately her hand went to clutch the mangalsutra around her neck.

"I... I..." She stuttered first but then finally gained confidence as she spoke," I planned on giving this marriage a chance,but you left me at the altar and then the next day too." She said.

"So you can speak, huh?" He asked and she looked at him wide eyed.

"What do you mean?" She asked with confusion and a bit of nervousness.

"What I mean is,you can stand up for yourself,then why the hell did you agree to it when my mom told you to work to stay here?" He asked, careful of his calm yet demanding tone.

"Maybe because I don't want to go back." She murmured very quietly but he heard it.

"Why so?" He asked.

"I can't tell you that. I don't trust you." She said,her voice maintaining the nervousness and innocence.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"You left the very next day after our wedding because you didn't want to see me. How can I trust you?" She said and the guilt that hit Reyansh after that was something else.

He hadn't expected her to stay. That was what he wanted to say but looking at her he decided otherwise. He cannot blame her reaction to his actions for all consequences.

"I have to go and work now." She said, trying to free her hand from his hold but it clearly didn't work.

"Sir, please leave my hand." She said and again something struck him.

"Why are you calling me sir?"

"Because I call all the people here as sir and ma'am?" She said and he was at the moment furious.

Furious because not only his mother made her work as a maid,she actually treated her as a maid.

"Chandni,you don't have to work here and you can still stay here." He tried to explain it to her again.

"But how can I stay here? Rati ma'am would oust me if I stop working." She explained.

"Chandni no one would do anything to you,I promise. Please trust me." He said and finally left her hand.

Seeing this as an opportunity,she literally rushed out of her room to see that indeed all the staff was rehired and they were even working.

Nobody knew that the staff is rehired, mainly because Reyansh did it last night after hai chat with Vinita.

Confused and scared, Chandni rushed to the one person she knew would give her the comfort she needs at the moment.

She rushed to Vinita's room as fast as she could and knocked continuously until she heard a faint come in.

"Ma'am,how can this happen?" She said as soon as she answered but Vinita looked at her confused.

"What happened?" She asked Chandni who looked visibly worried.

"All the staff is rehired." She said and Vinita actually laughed a little.

"That's it. You were scared as if there's a ghost behind you." Vinita said and Chandni looked at her with disbelief.

"Ma'am,if the staff is rehired that means I can't work here and that means I can't stay here anymore." She sighed.

"Did Reyansh ask you to leave?" She asked and Chandni nodded in a no.

"Then?"

"He asked me to stay here, as his wife." Chandni said and Vinita was glad that her talk with him atleast did something to his mind.

"Then what is the problem? Stay here as his wife. You're married to him, Chandni. You deserve to stay here as his wife." She said calmly, which was exactly opposite to how Chandni was reacting.

"Ma'am,how can I?"

"Come,sit here." She said, asking Chandni to sit on the bed which she did.

"You're married to him. You even have the mangalsutra around your neck. We even did your grihapravesh. You were here as his wife since the day you stepped inside this house." Vinita said, keeping a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"But Rati ma'am said that I stay here as a maid?" She asked.

"Reyansh asked you to stay here as his wife, right?" Vinita asked to which she just nodded.

"Then no one would asked you to stay here as anything different." Vinita said and it made Chandni think.

Is it true? Then she was indeed here as his wife and she might have to acknowledge it now.
