THE GAME AGAINST CRYSTAL PALACE HAD FINALLY ARRIVED.

And surprisingly enough, Robyn found herself caring far more than she ever expected to care. Seeing as she never even wanted to coach in the first place. She had to admit that it had been more rewarding than she thought. And although she didn't know the real reason Rebecca had hired her as a coach, it seemed to have backfired on the boss of the football club when she saw the genuine look of interest on her niece's face. As if the spark she had lost after the injury was slowly but surely coming back. And when she watched her niece grabbing at her hair in frustration during the match, she realised just how much her original plan had backfired and guilt seeped into her veins.

Rebecca loved Robyn dearly. And as she watched her on the sidelines, dressed as a coach, Rebecca realised just how much she fucked up. Just how much things would spiral out of control if Robyn ever found out the truth. And although there was a part of her that certainly felt happy for her niece. Having looked like she found something she once again enjoyed more so than the acting she got into after the injury. Robyn caring could also really ruin the plan to bring AFC Richmond down to its knees.

The locker room was bustling with life as the players got into their usual routine. This was exactly what Robyn had missed. The feeling of life inside a locker room right before a match.

She stood leaning back against a shelf, twirling her whistle around her neck, "Ready for your first match, Lasso?" She wondered.

He let out a nervous breath but his smile that was so prevalent was still very much present, "As ready as I can be, Sporty," He grinned, "Sam's surprise ready?"

She nodded.

Ted clasped his hands together and stood up from his chair, "Let's do this then," He said making his way out of the office, "Alright, fellas. Here we go, here we go. Coach, you got any last words?" He asked Beard.

"Speed on the outside."

"'Speed on the outside', y'all heard the man," Ted repeated as Robyn came over to join them, "Anything, Sporty?" He asked, looking at the blonde.

"Don't suck."

"'Don't suck' and 'speed on the outside', alrighty then. That's all we got. Except for one thing. And that's Happy Birthday, Sam!" Ted cheered loudly.

The room erupted in applause as Richard and Bumbercatch entered. Wheeling in a trolley with balloons tied to it and a perfectly decorated cake as the centrepiece, ready to be eaten after the match, along with a couple of bags of gifts.
