Chapter-73 (Part-1): Nothing Can Happen to her.

Ranav packs his bags for the nth time with a heavy heart, his feelings weighing on his shoulders and his questions on his head. There is only one place that might have some answers. From what he heard from his friend Arun, the name he heard and the mansion he saw in his dreams had a connection. Apparently, the mansion belonged to the woman named Akruti, but there was no record of a connection between the woman and the man named Prathab, who could be himself.

The last time he had planned to leave for Thiwalnar, the town in his dreams, he was stopped by the piercing grief of losing Ketki Aunty. Ketki Aunty is someone he held dear, whom he loved in a short period and losing her, especially having to watch Maya breakdown, took him far away from his plans. But he can no longer put off his trip as her engagement is drawing near. As he pulls his bag to the main hall and checks the app to find his cab on the way, he finds Akshay running out, talking to someone on the phone. If it wasn't for his jeep that broke down in front of Maya's house which is now being repaired by the mechanic he called, and all the Maheswari's cars taken by Varsha Aunty and Shourya Uncle to their trip to temple with friends, he wouldn't have had to call a cab. He doesn't pay heed to Akshay's conversation until his favourite name comes out.

"Is she okay? How did Maya get hurt?" He gets into his car and leaves hurriedly as Ranav's heart races in fear. Maya! His feet took action before he could even stop himself. He doesn't have his jeep, the cab is not here yet, but none of that could've stopped him. There was only one thing running in his head as his feet hit the ground. Maya! Nothing can happen to her. He ran like his life depended on him and it felt like it did. The gushing wind forced the unshed tears in his eyes as the world started to blur. Like a bird who doesn't need GPS to find its home, Ranav knew her location like the back of his hand. Rajvansh Sadan is after the place his heart resides in and the fact that something might've happened to her, pulls his body and soul apart with agitation. Every second, his feet hit the harsh ground twice, as he refused to let his weight fall still on the earth when he was a second closer to seeing her. He could feel his lungs refusing oxygen and his body pleading with him to stop, but he wasn't going to.

His stomach stings with pain as he refuses to stop running. He clamps down on his teeth, fisting thin air as he pushed further and further. Even when Rajvansh Sadan came into view, he didn't stop. It was only when he was running up the stairs and found Maya that he started slowing down. But his relief was short-lived... as he found her sitting in a wheelchair.
