It was a cold Tuesday night at the apartment of Sheldon and Leonard's. Sheldon and Angela were working hard on their element, now becoming faster and stronger than before. But, the arguments are still there. It didn't matter that much though.
Sheldon froze for a moment, then groaned.
"What is it?" Angela asked, calculating.
"My hard drive is not in my bag. Can I borrow your keys so I can go see if it's still in your car?"
"Yeah, sure." Angela says, reaching to her backpack and throwing her keys at Sheldon. Sheldon caught it, and ran to the door and opened it, to see Leonard standing there with his fist up and ready to knock. "Hello, Leonard." He said, walking away and going down the stairs.
Leonard looked after him, then walked into the apartment and closed the door behind him, "Hi, Angela." Leonard said, putting his bag onto his chair.
"Hello, Leonard," Angela started to write on Sheldon's whiteboard.
"Whatcha guys doing?" Leonard asked, going to the kitchen and getting out a glass to fill with water.
"Working."
"Oh," Leonard said, feeling awkward. "Well, I'll be back. I'm just going to use the restroom." He then walked out of the room, then to the bathroom.
Angela chuckled, noticing the awkwardness, then went back to work. They really are doing well. Everything is going as planned, and it looks like they might be over with it in a few weeks. No more stress, no more drama, and no more Seibert. All they'll need to focus about is to not get caught at Caltech. She knew it'll hurt her if they did find out, and she knew she was going to be in a situation where she can't live without Sheldon. Very cliché, but if you were only in her shoes. Sheldon is everything to her. He meant a lot to her, because he understands her and he can keep her sane from her addiction to smoking. Keep her living too. Angela stopped writing, and thought. If she never met him, she would have been done, and ended the life she created. When she talked about her niece, Natalie, she felt like a hypocrite. She told her niece to not do it, but she was also the one who wanted to let go. But, Natalie had a whole life ahead of her, and Angela had felt like she did live life, and it was time to end the road. She was exhausted of it. Luckily, Sheldon came just in time. Plus, the little slip-up during the little argument Sheldon and Angela had, where she had said, "So?", probably made Sheldon question it. Which was odd that he didn't bring it up when they opened up to each other. Maybe he forgot. But, Angela herself knew he wouldn't forget something like that.
The house phone distracted Angela out of her thoughts, and she glanced at it, then at the hallway where Leonard disappeared to. "Umm..." Angela said out loud. "Leonard, the phone is ringing!"
There was no answer from him. Angela put down the dry erase marker and walked to the phone, and was wondering what to do. Maybe she'll just say to leave a message. She picked up the phone, and pressed the green button. Before she can say hello, someone on the other line started to talk right away.
"Leonard! Hi! Um, I know what I'm going to say now, and I'm going up the stairs to talk to you about it. I'm nervous about doing this, but I need to make things right. I think I saw Sheldon, but I don't think he saw me. Don't say anything right now, I'm just going to talk to you really quick before I run into him. But, if I do, I can't promise you that I won't start apologizing. Alright, I'm already on the third floor. Bye!" The woman hung up, before Angela could say something. Angela started to think quick.
