Angela and Sheldon walked into the Cheesecake Factory with casual clothes on. Sheldon with a Batman logo and Angela was wearing a galaxy shirt with a black sweater. A hostess greeted them and guided them to a booth for two. As they sat down, Angela smiled at the thought of a romantic movie. A scene where the man takes his girlfriend to a restaurant and has a romantic dinner. Oh how she wishes it was real.
"So, what are you going to order?" Sheldon asked.
"Perhaps a burger...you?"
"The same," Sheldon replied. "Thank you, Angela, for joining me. I apologize if I was a burden this morning, we never got to our studies."
Angela waved him off, "Don't apologize. You drank the night before, and we both know the consequences of that."
Sheldon smiled, and their waitress greeted them. "Hi, I'm Lisa. I'll be your waitress for the evening, how about I get you guys some drinks?"
"I'll be having a Pepsi." Angela said.
"I want some lemonade, please." Sheldon said.
The waitress wrote down their drinks, "I'll be back with the drinks."
Angela sighed, not having any words come out of her mouth. Her crush was sitting right in front of her and she can't say anything. The embarrassment. Although, a few nice words to Sheldon won't hurt. A thank you perhaps.
"Sheldon...I just wanted to say thank you for coming here to my hometown. I never had anybody come with me to San Antonio. It's a pleasure to have you with me, and it means a lot." Angela said.
"Oh, you're welcome."
Angela smiled, "When I was introduced to you, I had a hatred against you. I thought I was the only intelligent one at the University and it made me furious that you were also intelligent. But, the more I get to know you, the more I laugh at myself for being such a horrible person. So, I'm glad I met you, Dr. Cooper."
Sheldon couldn't help but feel the same way, and he felt a warm feeling inside his heart and smiled softly. His eyes shining. He couldn't gather words, and finally, he did.
"Thank you, Amy." Then, his heart shattered into a million pieces, no longer feeling the warmth anymore.
Angela's expression turned to confusion, "What?"
Sheldon shook his head.
"Who's Amy?" Angela asked.
Sheldon shook his head again. Now she's saying her name, Sheldon thought. "No one. My apologies, I meant to say Angela."
Angela didn't push him further, and chose not to mention the name. Amy? A mysterious name indeed. A name she has not heard of. Who can Amy be? Amy...
Sheldon was showered with embarrassment and sadness. Last year was when he lost her, and he still can't move on without Amy. He trusted her, wanted her to be his future wife, and he wanted her to be the woman to have his children. Now, all thrown away. The agony. He looked down and slowly started to feel better. He looked at Angela to see her looking to her right and saw a perfect view of her jawline.
Angela looked back at Sheldon, "The Beatles." She suddenly said.
"Pardon?"
"The Beatles...the song," Angela awkwardly said. "They're playing a Beatles song."
Sheldon blinked, and he listened carefully and realized that it was a Beatles song. He didn't know what song it was, but he could recognize their voices.
Sheldon politely asked Angela if she knew the song, and she answered with a simple 'yes'. The name was Hey Jude. The song was calm, smooth, and the lyrics were accurate.
