Al and Lenalee didn't listen to my warning and instead watched as the Fallen One killed all the akuma surrounding it

"I can hear...for now..." I managed to get out through all the pain. Even though the Fallen One has killed all the akuma around him, there were still some in the area adding to my already painful migraine. Even my own voice was painful to me

"We have to save Suman." Lenalee said

'Do I tell her we can't save him..?' I thought to myself before deciding against it

"Hevlaska would never tell me about the experiment at the Order, no matter how many times I asked. I have no idea what happened to the boy that fell. I don't know what to do, but we have to save Suman." She said before my hearing went out again. It seemed like all the akuma were flocking to the Fallen One to take its innocence.

'We have to get it before they do...' I thought to myself, but Al and Lenalee were already way ahead of me...literally. Lenalee was carrying Al over to the Fallen One as I stared with disgust.

'How could they leave me? Al will never hear the end of it when I get him.' I thought bitterly to myself before screaming climbing up jumping on akuma to get to them, but getting roughly pushed off by a sudden gust of wind and falling onto another akuma

"Allen! Wait up!" I yelled seeing him on the now moving Fallen One as it got closer to a nearby town while I ran after it

"Run!" I screamed at nearby villagers as I passed them

"Suman!" I heard Al faintly scream a ways in front of me

"Al!" I screamed again as I watched him fall from the Fallen One to a lake below

'What do I do? What do I do? I have to catch him, but I can't swim...' I thought frantically watching him fall before acting on an impulse and just jumping to catch him anyways, so he wouldn't get hurt from the force

'This sucks...' I thought to myself attempting to swim to the surface and failing before getting pulled up by Al with a cloud of blood coming off his hand

"What's wrong with your hand?" I asked trying not to touch it but still trying to examine it

"Nothing." Al said shaking his head and pulling his hand away before screaming to the top of his lungs followed by a bright light enveloping his arm

'He needs help.' I thought before stabbing the Fallen One with the spikes flying out of my mouth, but Al continued to be pushed back

"Stop!" He yelled

"Look at what you're doing!" I screamed hoping he'd hear me

"Stop it!" Al screamed again

"Think about your family then! How would you feel if they were taken away from you?! You'd fall apart, I'm sure! Don't do this! Don't do that to them!" I pleaded as my hearing came back again as a result of the Fallen One's attacks on the akuma

"You didn't even want to become an exorcist. I saw it in your memories. You wanted to stay with your family, but you had no choice in order to pay for your daughter's hospital bills. You stopped fighting a made a deal with the devil. You threw away your honour and your friends because you wanted to live, didn't you? Al yelled

'If he keeps going at this rate, he'll be consumed by his innocence, but...what if we separated him from it? It's worth a try...' I thought to myself, and just as I was about to charge at it, Al stopped holding it down and screamed in pain as his arm distorted in differ directions

"Al! What's wrong?!" I gasped kneeling down beside his arm and trying to turn it to get a better look at it

"Ow! It hurt! It hurts! It hurts!" Al screamed in pain making me immediately let go of his arm

"What do I do...?" I whimpered holding my hands in front of my mouth

"It's getting closer to the town." I gasped looking from Al to the Fallen One trying to decide to stay or go fight it off and protect the people long enough to let them evacuate, but Al decided for me when he collapsed on the ground

"Don't go, Suman." He managed to get out holding himself up, but falling again

"Stay down!" I said pushing him back to the ground and watching in horror as Suman killed the townspeople

"What's happening?" He asked

"The town... Suman..he...they're..." I stammered as I continued to watch. The Fallen One lost its white glow and turned gray before blowing up again making the ground we were on levitate

"Suman..." Al said through clenched teeth before getting slapped in the face by Timcanpi and then bitten

"What're you...?" I asked before noticing the white lights and sharp teeth in the golem's mouth

"Are you angry with us?" Al asked answered by his companion bearing his teeth at him

"S-Sorry." I said leaning away from him

"We won't give up. It's difficult and painful, but I've still got this much energy. We can still do something." Al said followed by a concerned look from me before looking at the town and feeling too guilty to say much more

"Well, let's try this one more time." I smiled weakly before jumping off the now crumbling piece of earth and landing softly on the Fallen One

"Suman..." Al said

"Ex-or-cists." Suman said

"I'm Allen Walker." Al smiled

"And, I'm Allison Walker." I smiled

"I'm going to die. I'm sure of it. Even this monstrous body...will disappear. I'm sorry. I just wanted to see my family. There's no excuse." Suman sniffled

"Suman..." Al breathed followed by a rumbling underneath us

"He doesn't have much time left." I gasped trying to keep my balance

"Innocence activate." Al said followed by his screams

"I have to do it..." I whispered to myself before continuing, "I'm going to jump in and separate you from your innocence as well as your right arm. Al's gonna grab hold of you, and pull you out." I explained looking from Suman to Al

"I broke my hand so you're going to have to bite it and never let go, okay?" Al said nodding for me to jump in

"I'll be back." I smiled before basically diving into a sea of glue-like water, but ending up in what looked like an ocean. As I floated in the water Suman's memories filled my head giving me a headache like never before, and I screamed in pain. He had made a deal with the devil, a Noah. And, from what I can tell, the same Noah that had killed Grandpa based on the way he killed Suman's team.

'No, we can't think about that right now. We have a job to do.' I thought to myself reaching towards Suman's arm

"Come here!" I yelled and awkwardly swimming over to it and grabbing it

"RELEASE HIM!" I screamed and the green light around my neck turned red before radiating through the whole lake to the point that I could see followed by a white light before everything went black

"They will kill you." Grandpa's voice repeated in my head before I felt myself being shaken

"Ali! Wake up! Ali!" Al's voice pleaded before I shot up from the ground I was lying on

"Did we save him?" I asked

"Is that him?" I asked seeing a silhouette of a smaller Fallen One than the one we saw before

"It is! We did it!" Al cheered running over to him while I sat on the forest floor

"It's over..." I sighed with relief

"Suman? What's wrong?" Al asked when I remembered what grandpa had said...

"He's an empty shell..." I breathed watching the spit drip from Suman's mouth

"Why? Why him?" Al breathed holding his innocence in his hand

"But, Al. He's still living. As long as he's living, he still has a chance." I said trying to fool myself and Al

"Come on, Suman. Let's go back. Back home...to your family." Al said reaching out to him, but a large cut formed in the middle of his forehead and black butterflies flew out

"Bye, bye Suman." Someone chuckled from behind me making me jump up and move closer to Al but still between the two. As if his gray skin and scar didn't already give me the urge to kill him, the way Suman died... it was like how the others died...

"You...You're the one who killed General Yeegar." I hissed taking a defensive position in the middle
