I had started to overcome my fear of transportation, so I stayed awake the whole train ride whereas my brother took a nap for about half of it.

“It looks like there are just olive trees here.” Al sighed

“It’ll be like that until we get to the next station. Allison and I saw some of the best scenery while you were sleeping.” Lenalee giggled

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” Al yelled

“You were snoring so bad we figured you needed the sleep.” I laughed

“Maybe you’ve got a point there…” Al yawned

“Does my big brother need another nap?” I said with a voice you use to talk to babies

“You have no right to talk!” Al yelled

“That’s different and you know it!” I yelled back, but the train whistle stopped the argument before it had even begun. “What’s going on?” I shivered. The train came to a sudden stop which threw Al into Lenalee, but she made him faceplant into her suitcase rather than her.

“I’m really sorry…are you okay?” Al asked with a face full of leather

“I’m fine how about you?” Lenalee asked with a hint of sarcasm which made me roll around on the floor holding my stomach laughing.

“I’ll live.” Allen said

Al, Lenalee, and I all stuck our heads out the window which let me hear an akuma.

“Al…” I said pointing towards a carriage that got stuck on the tracks.

“I see it.” Al said jumping out the window.

“Wait for me!” I said jumping out after him

“Get out of here!” Al yelled to the conductor after saving him from and akuma’s missile. I screamed at all the akuma in my range and ran to the other side of the train as it sped off. More and more akuma showed up making my headache worse with every new one that showed up. I screamed louder to make the pain go away. My ear was literally bleeding by the time we finally finished killing them all.

“What’s wrong with your ear, Ali?” Al said turning my head to the side to get a better look at it.

“The akuma happened. The curse is just that for me, mentally and physically. It can even make me temporarily deaf if there are enough akuma.”

“I’m sorry.”

“What are you sorry for? This is the price I pay for doing that to Mana. You pay the same price I do, though I’m sure you’ve adapted to it. It’s only fair.” I shrugged wiping away the blood

“I think I might die of starvation.” Al groaned

“Stop saying that! Why do you think so many akuma would show up at once?” Lenalee snapped

“Do you think those leaves taste more like olives or like leaves?”

“The question, dear brother, is if they’re edible or not.” I said

“You two aren’t listening to me…are you?” Lenalee snapped

“My head hurts…” I mumbled before falling asleep

~Dream~

“Let me go! I wanna go home!” 13 year-old me screamed from a cell somewhere.

“Shut the hell up! You’re so fucking noisy!” One of the men holding me captive yelled back

“I wouldn’t be so noisy if you’d let me leave!”

“Do I have to get the wire again?” Another man hissed

I spit at him causing his short temper to ignite itself.

“You little shit!”

I let out a shrill scream as the wire cut my arms, legs, and stomach over and over again.

“You need to learn to shut up when I tell you to!” He yelled

~End of Dream~

Once again I jolted awake scaring an unsuspecting finder in the process.

“Are you okay? You were screaming and thrashing around, so I came to check on you.”

“I was? Wait, where am I? Where’s Lenalee and my brother?”

“I’m not exactly sure where we are, but if you’re referring to the two exorcists we found along with you, they’re eating.”

“Oh, thank you. Sorry if I scared you.”

“It’s okay. You looked like you were having a nightmare. It helps to talk about it.” The finder offered

“It wasn’t really a nightmare. It was more like I was reliving a memory that I’d like to forget.” I said finally getting up from the ground I was sleeping on.

“Oh, How rude of me. My name’s Paul. I’m a finder.”

“My name is Allison. It’s nice to meet you, Paul. Thank you for worrying about me.” I smiled and walked off to where I figured Lenalee and my brother were.

“Al…You ate all the food without me.” I nearly cried when I saw the empty pot in front of him

“Well, who told you to sleep that long?” Al shrugged

“Hello? It’s nighttime! People typically sleep when it’s dark, brother.” I scoffed

~Time skip~

Devon and Paul wished us luck on finding General Cross before going to find General Tiedoll. We had started to walk off when I heard several akuma and fell to the ground.

“Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!” I yelled over and over again covering my ears with the palm of my hands.

“What’s wrong, Ali?” Al said kneeling down to my level, but before I could answer him a flare lit up the sky from the finders we had just been traveling with.

“Let’s go.” I said struggling to stand up. The noise felt like gravity pulling me closer and closer to the ground. “The quicker we kill then the quicker the noise stops.” I winced at my own voice

~Time skip~

Lenalee brought Al and I into the town to help our friends.

“You came back!” Devon cheered as we fought the akuma off with the help of the finders

“Of course!” Al laughed, and we all rode on the carriage the finders were pulling along with them while Paul wrapped a bandage around my head to keep my ear from bleeding everywhere.

“How are you able to eat right now?” I scoffed at my brother

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Al said between bites of his sandwich

“See what I have to deal with?" I said turning to Paul who just laughs
