-A little later that morning, clouds had formed over the city and soon enough, the rain came crashing down a lot harder than most would have predicted. The relentless downpour of rain mirrored the tension that the bustling city had started out the morning with.
But as Levi and you went our separate ways, there was somebody just across the city who was feeling sullen enough without the rain adding to it. Everything was just piling up on top of each other and he could feel himself reaching his breaking point with every passing second.
The external problems that had stormed into his life in a matter of hours, disrupting the fragile peace he'd been trying to maintain as he tried to juggle it all while trying to mend what was already broken beyond repair, only made it worse. The weight of the world was pressing down on him, and he could feel himself unraveling and losing his mind, slowly but surely.
Grisha was sitting in his office, and the heavy clouds outside that were casting long and looming shadows over the room made it feel like the sky was closing in on him unbearably. The thunder was rumbling in the distance, with a low, oppressive sound that seemed to echo the turmoil inside him that wasn't seeming to let up any time soon.
He feels like he's sat down in that chair for like the 100th time over the past week, but even more during the last 3 days. He felt like the walls of his office were enclosing him, as if they were getting tighter and smaller by the hour.
As much as he felt like this space was suffocating in here, he just couldn't afford to let go of what he'd been working on and to let his focus stray. He feels like he's spent more time sitting down in his office chair than outside the last 24 hours and its been driving him mad. He couldn't take it anymore.
But even so, even if he knew that he desperately needed to take a break, he knew that trying to fight his own battles alone without you ever having to find out or worrying about him was becoming harder and harder. He felt like there was an even bigger storm brewing inside him.
The patter of the rain against the window outside felt like it was a cruel enough reminder of his isolation and what he was putting himself through. It felt like the rhythm of the rain was mocking him, and its rhythmic drumming on the glass clouded his judgement without giving him a chance to think. It shrouded his thoughts and his mind as a whole, frustrating him to no end where he couldn't even hear himself think.
Others might find a private office with the sound of rain pattering outside something comforting, but to Grisha, it only fueled his feeling of helplessness that he was so desperately trying to get rid of. He should feel relaxed and calm, but he felt like he was sitting in his own prison that refused to let him feel any sort of tranquility inside of him.
And not only did it feel like the rain was trying to send him a message that the interruptions wouldn't stop tormenting him, but it was also people in his own life that decided to come in and worsen it.
Grisha slammed his hand down on his desk sternly as he looked up with anger at the person that was standing in front of him. He couldn't believe that he had to deal with yet another nuisance that is just adding more to his already existing problems that he was already bending himself over to solve alone.
Grisha's breathing was ragged as intense and his eyes expressed all the rage that the person in front of him did not even seem to be responding to. "Did you really think I wouldn't find out?" Grisha said lowly, but the person in front of them just remained with a blank look on their face, refusing to say anything and that only spurred on Grisha's frustration, making it harder to contain his outrage.
