-Later that night, the progression of the very people who were after you continued. The man acting as a 'vessel' for the true mastermind behind the attacks and intents to get you killed was on his way to carry out his next orders.
Every attempt to kill you so far, including the acid attack, had failed horribly thanks to Levi's intervention, but he wasn't giving up yet. Right now, he was heading to an agreed upon location for the next part of his orders.
After reviewing the footage that he took from that night, he hoped that it would satisfy his boss. Every ambush and attack he's tried on you has failed, and it wasn't making the one pulling the strings any happier.
He'd learned to just continue moving forward despite his failures and prove that he can do this. Every time that he finds new clues and leads about you, he is required to give them to the person he works for.
Just like the video he had taken earlier that night—hidden behind a distant column as he watched you and Levi fight off the thugs.
The man wore a cap tipped downward, shadowing his face, and dressed in all black—despite the subway being nearly deserted at this hour.
He was descending down the stairs of the subway as his footsteps echoed against the tile and the lights flickered on and off above him very eerily.
Everyone who passed him instinctively veered away, instantly feeling an eerie chill crawl up their spines, as if it clung to the air around him.
He was looking for something very specific. He started heading towards the lockers on the far wall, the same one he's used many times before.
The entire time he'd been descending and on his way to the subway, he clutched a brown paper bag containing the flash drive with the footage he recorded.
He reached the locker with the number that was assigned to him and then pulled the key out of his jacket pocket, raising it up to the keyhole of the lock and started to twist it around.
When he heard a click, he didn't hesitate in opening and discreetly putting the paper bag inside. His boss would be by to pick this up eventually.
After that, he swiftly shut the locker, relocked it, and glanced around to make sure no one watching—to confirm the coast was clear for what he was about to do next.
Thankfully, no one had. The station remained just as deserted as before. The man lowered his cap a bit more, then pulled out his trusty flip phone—the one he always used to contact his boss—and typed out the message to the designated number that the evidence was planted, just as instructed.
His fingers pressed the phone's keys, each letter clicking softly in the quiet station. 'Evidence is in. Check locker 20,' he texted. As soon as he hit send, he shoved the phone into his pocket, turned on his heel, and made his way toward the subway exit.
No point lingering around here any longer than necessary. Now all he needed to do was wait.

Across the city, not everyone was having the most pleasant of nights either. Right now, Floch was sitting in yet another mandatory therapy session—one of the many that Zeke had forced him into doing.
Ever since taking Floch in, Zeke had always kept a close eye on him, but lately he had become more insistent, claiming that Floch was exhibiting 'unusual behavior' and needed to 'get it under control' as soon as possible, as Zeke so eloquently put it. At first, Floch had refused to be a part of it. He didn't think he needed it.
He truly didn't believe there was anything wrong with him, but then again, this was before everything started to go downhill within his own family and he didn't think he needed any 'fixing'.
