Something always brings me back to you
It never takes too long
No matter what I say or do
I'll still feel you here
'til the moment I'm gone
You hold me without touch
You keep me without chains
I never wanted anything so much
Than to drown in your love
And not feel your rain
Set me free, leave me be
I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity
Here I am and I stand so tall
Just the way I'm supposed to be
But you're on to me and all over me
You loved me 'cause I'm fragile
When I thought that I was strong
But you touch me for a little while
And all my fragile strength is gone
Set me free, leave me be
I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity
Here I am and I stand so tall
Just the way I'm supposed to be
But you're on to me and all over me
I live here on my knees
As I try to make you see that you're
Everything I think
I need here on the ground
But you're neither friend nor foe
Though I can't seem to let you go
The one thing that I still know
Is that you're keeping me down
Keeping me down
You're on to me
you're on to me
All over me
Something always brings me back to you
It never takes too long

Harry : Seven Years Later

My throat was closed up due to the impending tears that had become mixed so quickly with shock. I sat at the dining room table that was much too large, my eyes wide and dusted with a layer of tears that hadn't yet splashed over...everything had been moving in slow motion as my mind tried to process the news I'd just received. "Harry, honey?" Bethany's voice sounded from the hallway, but my body stayed exactly where it was. "Harry?" I heard the clack of her heels grow closer and closer. "Har-" I couldn't look at her. Not now. "Love, what is it? What's wrong?" She was kneeling by my side and I was struggling desperately to keep my composure. "Will you bloody talk to me, please?!"

My business phone was always ringing, as was my cell phone, but the house phone never really rang, unless it was a telemarketer or something of the sorts. So when it it went off, I picked it up, expecting an obnoxious audio recording. Instead though, the person on the other end hadn't been prerecorded. "Yeah?"

"Um...is-Harry?" I knew instantly. I didn't need to rack my brain. I knew her voice like I'd know my mum or sister's voice. It had been almost six years since I'd heard it, but nothing had really changed. "Harry? Hello?"

"H-hi..." It was then that I heard the sniffling cries on her end.

"So...I didn't know if it was alright to call...bu-but...Harry, it's Penny."

"What is it? Is she alright?"

"Um-we...I need to put her down. She has cancer-it's really bad..." I felt like the air had been knocked out of me. "It's killing me...but...I just...we picked her together. She's our girl."

"When are you going to do it?"

"The vet left it open-ended...I didn't know-I just...I'm sure you're busy, I just wanted to give you the option."

"You're in LA?"

"Yes."

"I can be there on Friday."

"You don't have to come, if you're busy..."

"Do you not want me to come?"

"No, no, god...no. I just-she's our dog, Harry."
