Cale in Eleceed (Totcf x Eleceed)

Chapter- 36

Just then somebody entered Cale's mansion. 

"Hahaha, he sometimes does that."

A voice unfamiliar to Kayden and Curtin echoed Cale's huge living room. Both of them and Jiwoo came to the living room to know the source of this new voice. 

Jiwoo's eyes widen seeing the woman sitting opposite to Cale and happily chatting with the redhead.

"Mom!"

Jiwoo shouted happily as he sprinted towards the woman who looked very much like him. Meanwhile the two humanoid cats held surprised faces knowing that this woman is Jiwoo's mom. 

"My son~!"

Jiwoo's mom Kang Yujeon spread her arms out with a smile as she received her son in a hug.

Cale left first after giving a nod to Yujeon. He give both of them space as Jiwoo started a barrage of questions for him. Cale's three kittens were coming down but got swopped up by Cale who ascended back to his room with the three of them in his arms. Cale's arms quivering from all that weight but Cale still won't exercise even if hell broke lose, of course except one exercise, breathing.

Choi han who was coming back in after training blinked looking at two people hugging as he tilted his puppy like face to comprehend what was going on. Ron with a benign smile and a dark face, grabbed Choi han from back and started dragging  him away.

Choi han shrugged Ron's hand with a disgusted face and started walking to his room on his own to shower. Ron's face darkened even more as he wiped the hand holding Choi han's collar.

By the time Cale came back the four kids, three kittens who managed to slip out under their guardian's gaze, three males(Choi han, Kayden and Curtin) and Shinwa's chairwoman were sitting in his living room eating snacks and drinking tea in the spacious living room inside Cale's huge mansion. 

"Young master Cale, I was waiting for you."

Yujeon said as she greeted Cale who came down. Cale also sat down on the sofa with everyone else. The sofa's were wide and soft, especially handpicked by the butler assassin keeping his master's comfort in mind. They also matched the aesthetics and had a warm vibe to them.

Cale was sitting on the single seat one, his aura held elegant and authority. Cale seemed unapproachable and cold but the three kittens immediately rushed towards him climbing up and nestling around Cale. Cale didn't stop them, even though his face was stoic, his eyes held warmth as he helped the unusually colored kittens climb up.

"Miss. Kang, I assume that you're updated about Jiwoo's life."

Cale said once again looking at Jiwoo's mom.

"Yes Jiwoo told me all about his recent adventures and about the awakened world."

Yujeon said with a small smile.

"Will you stay for the dinner?"

Cale asks motioning for Ron to set up the table.

"Ah no, I should get going. I was on a business trip and decided to drop by to check on Jiwoo. I can't thank you enough for taking care of my precious boy."

"It's fine madam. I didn't do much."

Cale said with a stoic face while blissfully ignoring the alarm bells ringing in his head. He didn't mention how the cute cinnamon roll has turned into a fighting maniac. Yuejon stood up to leave. Ron also brought a bento box he packaged just now.

"You should have some food on your way. It's late at night and it seems like you still haven't had your dinner. My chef makes really good food, you should try some."

Cale said giving Yujoen a bento box. Yujeon smiled, thanking Cale as she took the bento and made her way out. Jiwoo and Cale went to see her off at the gate. Before leaving Cale looked at her.

"Don't worry about Jiwoo. He'll be safe with me."

Cale said with a stoic face. He was feeling a nagging feeling he always get that his slacker life is going to get really far away but he ignored it and just gave casual words to Jiwoo's mom. It'll eventually go away if you ignore it.

But those casual words gave a lot of reassurance to Yujeon, giving her the courage that she needed to move forward. Yujeon's eyes turned teary and smile happily at Cale.

"Thank you young master Cale."

She said before leaving. Cale had a confused face, not understanding what was she talking about.

After Jiwoo's mother left everyone fell into their old routine. Jiwoo and the other three kids being trained under Choi han. One day Jisuk didn't come on his own but was instead dragged by Jiyoung who yeeted him inside the training room with a neutral face ignoring Jisuk's shouts of not wanting to train under that hellish trainer(Choi han).

"Please take care of him."

Jiyoung said to Choi han who just nodded and smiled.

"Don't worry Miss. Yoo, I'll make sure to train him appropriately."

"If may I, could I also ask you for spars occasionally if you don't mind."

"No, it's no problem. I'll be happy to spar against you."

Cale who wanted to sun bathe in the garden shivered seeing the two talking about exercising and fighting, shivered, turned around and went back up. It's better for his wellbeing to just stay upstairs.

A few days later Cale won on the balcony. The kids were staying with Eruhaben who said he got a lead to finding a cure for Kyden's problem. Cale had sent various test reports on Kayden that Eruhaben needed. Roan also examined the flow of Kayden's energy and was teleported back to the golden dragon to report his findings. Ohn and Hong wanted to go along to meet others so Cale didn't stop them.

So the three kids went back with Hans to the remote island their family was staying in the world.

It was still sunny when Cale looked down as frowned. Kartien was standing in the garden making weird faces while looking at the sky and at Jiwoo's cats. Then after some time Jiwoo came outside. He said something to Kartien which made the healer really happy but Kartien pretended to be nonchalant about it. All while secretly giving Cassien nitrate a smug face who just deadpanned at him.

Kartien who was dancing in joy after Jiwoo and Kayden left suddenly turned his face upwards and came face to face with Cale's stoic face. Kartien's whole body paused as a look of horror crossed his face. Cale didn't react, he just turned back, walked into his room and closed the balcony door.

Kartien meanwhile screamed internally that he had his elegant persona ruined, and in front of Cale of all people!!!

'I'm not even safe in my own balcony. I should stay on bed.'

Cale said and proceed to wrap himself in a blanket like a sushi roll with only his head peeking out.

'As always, slacker life is best.'
