It was about 8 pm. It was almost time to meet up with David. I tiptoed out of my bedroom door to see if anyone was downstairs. Of course everyone was down there. So I had to sneak out. I opened my window and climbed onto the roof. I started to climb down the drain pipe. Once I got to the ground I made a run for the boardwalk. As I was walking toward the boardwalk I started to look for David. The sun hasn't fully set yet and David and his friends don't come out till it's completely dark out. I don't know why but I would do the same, especially at the boardwalk. I finally saw the boys coming down the boardwalk on their motorcycles. David saw me standing there. They all got off and he took my hand and led me over to a quiet spot so he could talk to me. "Okay, I've been thinking about it, and going to ask you something." David said. "Okay, what is it?" I asked. "Okay, but before you say no, please consider it." he said. "Okay." I said. "Okay, well I was thinking, since you don't love that Justin guy, and you don't want to marry him, maybe you can stay with us?" he asked. I was shocked. Was he asking me to runaway with him? To call off the wedding, everything, leave my family. I'll have to think about this. "Um... how long will I be with you?" I asked. "Forever. We can forget all of this. We can runaway from this guy you don't even love." he answered. Wow, this was a lot to take in. "Am I ever coming back? Will I be able to see my family?" I asked. "That's the down part. You won't be able to see your family again." he said. "Wow. Im going to have to think about this for a while. This is a big decision. I don't really want to marry Justin, I want to be with you but...." I paused for a second. "I don't want to leave my family." I answered. "Okay, take all the time you need. Also when is your wedding? I'm just curious." He said. "Um, well it's August 31st today and it's exacatlly two months away. So October 31st, on Halloween. My favorite holiday." I said. "Mine too." he answered. "We'll let me know soon." he said. "Okay." He kissed me and we went our separate ways. I started walking back to my house. This was going to be a hard decision. Leave with the one I truly love and call off the whole wedding and leave my family behind? Or stay, and be with my family, but be married to a guy I don't even love. This was going to be a long night.
