Chapter 4: The Sorting Hat

Harry's POV

Me, Ron and Hermione were sitting at the Gryffindor table but I didn't see the Americans anywhere. Professor McGonagall stood and started talking. "Silence please.". Everyone settled down and let her speak. "Some of you may know already but this year we have exchanged students from America. They will only be joining this year and I expect all of you to treat them as regular students, not differently." she said while looking at all of us.

As soon as she finished speaking the doors opened and the exchanged students walked in. Annabeth and that Jackson kid was in front the it was Thalia and Nico. Then there was a tall blond guy and a girl with chocolate brown hair and eyes that seemed to keep changing colors and after them a girl with dark skin and brown, curly hair next to a really buff Chinese guy. Last there was a guy with short, curly hair and dark skin with a girl with cinnamon hair that was braided down her shoulder.

Just them I noticed a look in all of their eyes. It was a look of pain, like they've been through war. Well they have most likely not have been through more than me. Their lives were probably normal compared to mine.

Percy's POV
Minerva started to call our names and I was first. "Perseus Jackson." I cringed at my name. "Just Percy." I said to her. I walked up to the stool and sat down. The hat was barely on my head before it yelled from my memories. "Gryffindor! Please get him away from me those are horrible memories!" it cried. That started to stir the memories I had of the war and Gaea and when me and Annabeth fell into Tartarus. I sat down at the Gryffindor table and waited for the rest to get called.

"Annabeth Chase.". She walked up to the stool and barely even sat on it before it shouted, "Gryffindor! Get her away! Get her away from me!" he jumped out of Minerva's hand and moved away from Annabeth as she walked towards me trying to fight the tears. Onco she sat down I hugged her and told her that I was over that Gaea is gone.

After that I didn't really pay attention and I wouldn't eat anything. I tried to forget those memories and now I have to fight them down again. I guess all the others were in Gryffindor too but now all I wanted was to have me and Annabeth alone for a while, just to get things off my mind.

After dinner *still Percy's POV*

Everyone started to get up and go back to their dorms so we followed the golden trio. Well to the dorms we go.
