Meanwhile, in their secluded house in Utah, over these last few days Reign has begun to train all her cult members in combat. Reign, for her part, has been surprised by how well some of the girls have picked up these fighting techniques. However, Reign also realises that she should not be too surprised, as after all, before Reign got her claws on these women, they were prostitutes, who likely had to know how to fight, and defend themselves, just in case a client got too handsy with them, or tried to hurt them in some way or another. Despite how quickly Reign's cult has picked up some of these fighting techniques, Reign still knows that there is going to be a long way for them to go before she is actually comfortable in their fighting skills. Right now, Reign doubts that the woman would be able to hold off an attack on her for more than a few seconds, which really doesn't do Reign any good whatsoever. Reign's ultimate goal is for these women to be good enough fighters so that they can inflict some serious damage on whoever tries to come for her, while also buying Reign some time to get away. Reign still does not care if her cult all die defending her, they are still tools for her to use at the end of the day, even if Reign is having a lot of fun with Carly, sexually, right now, and enjoying who she has turned Carly into, since she killed her ex-boyfriend.
One of the things that Reign has had to be careful with when teaching these women how to fight, is to make sure that the women don't end up hurting each other while they train. At the end of the day, these women are really no good to Reign if she constantly has to stop their training for days at a time, just so they can recover from various injuries that they have picked up while training. Then, on top of this, Reign has also had to make sure that Carly's training is a bit more advanced than everyone else's, not because Reign actually emotionally cares about Carly or anything of that sort, but because Reign does not want to create a headache situation where Candy becomes a good enough fighter that she is able to resist Carly dominating her, and then attack her. That is just something that Reign does not need to waste time dealing with.
For now, in regards to the training, Reign has been sticking with the basics, and teaching all her cult just how to fight with their hands. This has included her teaching them all sorts of techniques, especially in regards to how to use their agility and momentum against other people. Reign is aware that unlike her, with her powers, these women cannot rely on just pure strength and power to defeat all the people she needs them to take out. These women are likely going to come up against people who are much stronger than they are, and seeing as Reign cannot make these women that much stronger, the best thing for her to do is to give them enough training so that they are aware of all the techniques that they can use to win a fight against someone much stronger than them. Of course, at the end of the day, Reign is aware that if these women do come up against someone significantly stronger than them, no amount of training will be able to help them hold their own in a fight. That is why Reign knows that her training cannot just be about teaching these women hand to hand combat techniques. Reign knows that she will have to teach these women how to adapt in a fighting environment. This means using anything nearby, that they can, as a weapon, when a fight arises, and also using their brains to very much take advantage of a situation. Reign, from her own experiences, knows how she has already done the later. As in one of her fights with Supergirl, she used her mind to get herself an edge in the fight, as she knew that Supergirl's morality is her biggest weakness, as she does not want to allow other people to get hurt. Supergirl is not ruthless enough to make the simple sacrifice of a few people to win a fight against a greater foe. So, that is why Reign put civilians in danger, just so Supergirl would be distracted saving them, which thereby gave Reign an advantage in the fight. Of course, at the end of the day, even though Reign used that tactic, to great effect, Supergirl still beat her, but that was no because of Supergirl's pure merit in being a stronger fighter or anything. That was simply because Supergirl brought in multiple people to help her with the fight. Not only did Supergirl have a few of her powered friends fighting alongside her, but she had also help from her other allies who gave her technology to help improve her odds in a fight. Reign is very sure that if things were equal and it was just a one on one fight between herself and Supergirl, she would have crushed Supergirl like an ant. That is the big reason why Reign is doing all this, and building her little cult, as like both Supergirl, and Leviathan, she will now have people around her, who can help her. Even if the reality, in Reign's mind, is that she now has people around her who she can sacrifice, to give herself a much better chance in a fight.
