Honey stood in front of her full-length mirror, adjusting the hem of her short brown mini dress. The dress hugged her curves perfectly, stopping just mid-thigh, and she paired it with matching brown heels that made her legs look even longer. Her real hair was out for once—soft curls cascading in layers around her face.

As she grabbed her clutch, Meredith walked into the room, stopping dead in her tracks.

"Whoa."

Honey turned to her, raising an eyebrow. "What?"

Meredith crossed her arms, tilting her head. "I don't think I've ever seen you this dressed up outside of a hospital gala."

Honey smirked. "And?"

"And," Meredith gestured at her, "this is a look. Like, damn. If Jackson doesn't lose his mind when he sees you, he might actually be blind."

Honey rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. "It's just a date, Mer."

Meredith scoffed. "Yeah, a date that you actually said yes to. Which means it's not just a date."

Honey sighed, shaking her head as she grabbed her jacket. "Don't make this a thing."

"Oh, it's already a thing," Meredith teased. "You and Jackson. Look at you, all glammed up and glowing."

Before Honey could respond, the doorbell rang. Meredith's smirk widened. "That's your cue."

Honey took one last look in the mirror, smoothed down her dress, and walked out, ready to see Jackson's reaction.

Honey adjusted her dress one last time. Before heading out, she turned to Meredith with a smirk and said, "I'm getting fucked tonight."

Meredith's eyes widened for half a second before she burst into laughter. "I knew it! I knew this wasn't just some casual date."

Honey shrugged, still smirking. "What can I say? The man has been persistent."

Meredith crossed her arms. "Jackson's gonna lose his damn mind when he sees you."

Honey winked. "That's the plan."

With that, she went downstairs and opened the door. Jackson stood there, looking sharp in a black button-up and slacks, but the second his eyes landed on her, he froze. His lips parted slightly as he took her in from head to toe, his gaze lingering just a little longer on her legs.

"Damn," he finally said, eyes flicking up to meet hers. "You look... incredible."

Honey smirked, stepping out and closing the door behind her. "I know."

As they walked toward his car, Jackson leaned in, voice low and teasing. "So, do I even need to take you to dinner, or should I just take you home now?"

Honey laughed, sliding into the passenger seat. "Patience, Dr. Avery. Good things come to those who wait."

Jackson grinned as he got in beside her. "Then I hope you don't make me wait too long."
