"I have great faith in you ... Great faith. I can because I chose you, I trained you. I've watched you work. I know what you can do. That's why today is different. The training wheels are coming off, people." Richard said to the residents as they were handed navy scrubs.
"Navy scrubs?" Meredith asked she looked at the scrubs in her hand.
"Attending scrubs. You are attendings today. Run the cases, take point, but don't be a fool. If you get in over your head, cry uncle. Until then ... Congratulations. You've just been promoted." He said before walking out of the lounge
"I can't wait to put these on." Honey said as she sees Cristina just looking at her scrubs in hand.
"The attendings aren't going anywhere. We're basically just playing dress up."
"Yeah."
"So? Navy scrubs." Honey says excitedly.

Honey stood at the nurses' station, flipping through the chart in front of her. She glanced down at the name on her chart and read through the details of the case. Pleurectomy and Decortication—a major thoracic procedure that involved removing the pleura and any thickened tissue from around the lungs.
It was an intense, meticulous surgery, and she had a solid team with her: Drew, Vanessa, Gemma, and Violet.
Taking a deep breath, she turned to find them already approaching, their expressions ranging from excited to slightly nervous.
"Alright, people, listen up," she said, holding up the chart. "We have a patient with pleural fibrosis. The plan is a pleurectomy and decortication. It's a big surgery, but nothing we can't handle."
Drew nodded, already flipping through his notes. "What's the patient's history?"
"Chronic pleuritis following a severe pneumonia case last year," Honey replied. "He's been experiencing shortness of breath, chest pain, and reduced lung function. The fibrosis has progressed enough that surgery is our best option."
Vanessa pushed her hair behind her ear. "So, we're basically scraping out all the thickened pleural tissue so the lung can expand properly again?"
"Exactly," Honey confirmed. "We need to be careful around the lung parenchyma and major vessels. The biggest risk factors are excessive bleeding and post-op complications like prolonged air leaks."
Gemma and Violet exchanged glances before nodding in understanding.
"Alright, let's go meet our patient," Honey said, leading the way down the hall.
They entered the hospital room to find Mr. James Holloway, a man in his late 50s, sitting upright in bed. His skin was slightly pale, his breathing shallow, and an oxygen cannula rested under his nose. He looked up as they walked in, offering a tired but friendly smile.
