Tears filled my eyes as I drew the blade across my skin. Stupid bullies. I wrapped some tissue over my newly wounded cut and rolled down my sleeve. I walked into my bedroom and slumped down on my bed, thinking of what had happened today. More tears fall from my face. I hear my mother calling me from a distance so I quickly wipe away my tears and walk downstairs, into the lounge.
"Sweetie, sit down" my mother told me and I did exactly what she said, looking at her with a clueless face.
"I have some news but you have to promise me, you won't get upset or mad." She says and I nod in response.
"We're moving. Far away from here. It'll-"
"Where?" I interrupt
"San FranSokyo" my mother implies with a monotone voice.
"No." I protest
"Darling, we have no choice!" Mother says before I rush upstairs and sit on my bed once again. I don't want to leave. Sure, this town is awful. I get bullied almost every day but I do have friends and I can't just leave them without warning! It's not fair! She can't just decide everything without telling me!
Where's my father, you ask? He abandoned us when I was a baby. He didn't care. Now he has two other daughters and a new wife. Don't know why I care so much, it's his loss. Not mine. I start to think, maybe this move will be good. I'll have the chance to start out a new life and forget everything that's happened here. I smile and grab some boxes, delicately putting all of my things inside. I smile to myself but my smile fades when I realise I have to tell my friends. I call my friend, Jacob. he's my best friend in the whole wide world and he's always stuck by my side. We were on the phone for hours and when I told him the news he was extremely upset. I said that I was sorry and that I'll visit. Nothing changed that, though. Tears fell from my face when I realised what great people I'm leaving behind.
