This chapter contains mention of blood, and death
** Tim wasn't able to fall asleep that night. He laid in bed staring at the dark ceiling, watching the fan spin. The anxiety weighed on his shoulders and his mind raced with ridiculous thoughts. Lucy tried her best to comfort Tim while she was over. It was challenging for herself as she was trying to process everything that had happened in the last 24 hours. As he laid in bed with Beau on the side of him.
Wesley's contact appeared on the screen as his phone rung. Tim immediately furrowed his eyes brows, answering it immediately. "I know where they are" he says. Not long after the phone call with Wesley, the team was gathered in Tim's living room as they discussed a plan. Wesley stands in the living room as he looks over at everyone.
"La Fiera is holding Angela, and Phoebe at a compound outside Guatemala City. I'm going to get them back, but I could use help." He says. Tim immediately volunteers "I'm in." He says. Nolan raises his hand "Me, too". Lucy nods her head "We all are."
Grey holds his hand out "Hold on. The only people qualified to even think of doing this craziness is Bradford and Harper." He points out. Tim looks over at Grey as he becomes antsy "Are you saying we don't even try and save them?" He asks. Grey shakes his head "Of course not. But we can't just go running into hostile territory without a good damn plan. La Fiera is gonna have sicarios and half the police force protecting her. She'll know the second we step off a plane." He explains.
Harper looks at him "So, we don't fly commercial" she points out. Grey sighs "Last I checked, LAPD doesn't have an air force. And the DEA isn't gonna lend us theirs." He explains. The situation was difficult, and coming up with a game plan seemed even more challenging.
Nolan hesitates but thinks of someone "What about Max?" He asks. Grey looks over at them as they all exchange knowing looks. Nyla looks at him "Um, you remember that counterfeiting case a while back that started with the murder of a transient?" She asks. Grey nods his head "You mean the case where the killer came wandering up to you at the docks in Long Beach? Yeah, I remember it." He recalls. Nyla nods and continues on "Yeah, well, you weren't fully in the loop for some aspects of that arrest." Tim chimes in "Max works in the shadows at the Defense Department. His unit runs covert operations around the globe. They printed that counterfeit money to fund them." He explains.
Nolan looks at Sergeant Grey "He would have the resources to fly us in under the radar. Maybe even provide tactical support on the ground." he points out. Grey folds his arms across his chest "And why would he do that?" he asks them. Lucy looks over "Because he doesn't want his sins put on blast." She says.
