Revenge. A word that can blindfold people and prevent them from seeing the light around them. It can destroy lives and love. It's not meant to be kept in the heart but sometimes it just stays there.
Jungkook could never forgive the person who destr...

An year.
Yes, it has been an entire year since Jungkook lost the right of calling Taehyung his. It has been an entire year since his love spoke to him or even looked at him properly. An entire year of longing and regrets.
Jungkook had felt the pain of this distance each and every day but not even in one of them did he ever blame Taehyung for it. He knew that this was merely the consequence of his own actions. He knew that he deserved every bit of it for being a coward.
He knew he deserved this punishment.
Taehyung had suffered so much because of his father and instead of protecting him, Jungkook only added to those sufferings. No word could describe the amount of failure he felt every moment at that realization.
He had failed miserably at loving the other once and in no way did he wish to repeat that same mistake again. He had promised himself and his love that he would not be the failure he used to be.
And he was keeping that promise.
He made sure to keep loving Taehyung even when the other had stopped. He kept going on with the efforts even when there were no signs of forgiveness from the other side. 'It's all right.' he would tell himself in days his heart squeezed with pain.
But then something happened amidst all this despair. Something he wished had happened sooner.
He started reading those beautiful eyes. He somehow figured out what was going on inside them. His thoughts were merely an assumption in the beginning but now he knows that he is not wrong.
The way those beautiful orbs began glittering when he started talking about his entire day at work instead of just apologizing or keeping quiet, did not go unnoticed by the ravenette.
He noticed how the little efforts of respect and care affected Taehyung and in those moments he somehow knew that the love between them had never died. It was still there, hanging dearly by the thread. It was still right there with them.
And this was not a punishment from Taehyung.
It was instead a chance. A chance to make himself better. As a lover, a husband and father. It was a chance for him to try again, honestly this time.
Just the though was enough to give him a surge of motivation. He smiled looking at the sky and then turned around to go back back inside the cozy apartment. It was eight in the evening and Taehyung was still not home. A peculiar thing to be honest because the latter would be home by six for their toddler.
Jungkook quickly went towards the kitchen counter and picked up his phone. He was worried about the other but calling him was too much in his opinion, especially when Taehyung didn't want to speak to him at all.
"What should I do?" He said to himself, his eyes travelling across the dinner table waiting to be occupied by its user. "Should I call him? But what if he gets angry and I mess up again? I don't want to make him uncomfortable."
The ravenette pondered over the thought for a few minutes before deciding to 'Fuck it!', because for him Taehyung's safety mattered more than his own progress. If he could ensure that Taehyung was alright then going back to where he started his journey towards forgiveness didn't matter to him.
He sighed loudly before quickly dialing the specific phone number. The cell rang for a few seconds before someone picked it up. "He...Hello." Jungkook hesitantly greeted and waited for the reply.
"You called. I was waiting for it."
It was not what Jungkook had expected. He couldn't believe his ears, his body too stunned with the words just falling into his brain. And this was the exact reason why he didn't register the front door opening and closing.
"Tae....." Jungkook was almost crying. He wanted to hear him talk again. Talk to him specifically.
"Turn around. I'm right behind you." Came the voice again but not from the cellphone this time. It was right behind him. He was right there.
Like a madman he turned around, only to find Taehyung standing there with glittering eyes. Oh god! He looked divine and Jungkook wanted nothing more than to take him in his arms and never let go.
"I don't want this any more. I've had enough. I've had enough of this distance and I think I'm ready to move on. I want to move on from the past now but with you right beside me."
Taehyung didn't hold himself back. He at once ran towards Jungkook once he had said everything he wished to. Without wasting a second he took the other's cheeks in his hands before joining their lips together. His lips moved with love. With longing.
Jungkook on the other hand was too stunned. Everything felt like a dream to him. A dream that was too unreal but Taehyung's desperate touch grounded him to the reality. His own desperation immediately took over. He held onto his lover's waist, picking him up and placing him on the counter thereafter.
They devoured each other, their tongues exploring every corner with an intensity that could burn them with it's warmth. The tears didn't stop and neither did they until their breath ran out.
"I love you. I love you so much Tae."
Jungkook couldn't help but cry out looking into his lover's eyes. He felt so grateful to have him in his arms. "I love you too. A lot. More than I can even say." Taehyung smiled, his own tears not ceasing.
"Do I deserve your forgiveness Tae? Do you really want to give me this chance?"
"I do." Taehyung whispered, his hands wiping the tears away from Jungkook's cheeks. "I want us to be together. I want us to be a family. We've always loved each other Koo but this time let's learn to trust and respect each other just as much. We'll do it together. Hmm."
Jungkook nodded like a child. A beautiful smile decorating his lips.
"Where is Haneul by the way?" Taehyung asked, his arms snaked around Jungkook's neck. His eyes never leaving the other's for even a second.
"With my parents. They wanted to spend some time with him."
"Then tell them to take care of him for a little longer. We have things to talk about and matters to attend to." The elder smiled whilst pulling the raven head closer. The distance between them so little that their nose almost touching.
"I like the idea." Jungkook laughed. "No. I love the idea." He said before joing his lips to Taehyung's and tasting him all over again as if it was their first ever kiss.
The two of them smiled in the middle. Their hearts beating in sync.
They were finally together. Their hearts were finally where they craved to be.
Together.
