Namjoon paced anxiously outside the emergency room, the weight of responsibility heavy on his shoulders. The other members were a silent testament to their collective worry, each lost in their own thoughts and prayers for Jin.

A doctor approached Namjoon, his expression serious. "Sir, are you the guardian or a close family member of the patient?"

Namjoon swallowed hard. "I'm the leader of his group, his bandmate, his... brother, in a way."

The doctor nodded. "We need to stitch the laceration on the back of his head. It's quite deep. To do that properly and prevent infection, we'll need to shave the hair around the wound."

Namjoon's heart sank. He knew how much Jin cherished his appearance, how important his hair was to his image as an idol. It was a significant part of his identity. "Is... is there no other way, Doctor?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

The doctor shook his head. "I'm afraid not. The area needs to be completely clean and accessible for us to close the wound effectively. We can't risk infection. It's a necessary procedure for his well-being." He held Namjoon's gaze, emphasizing the urgency. "His health is the priority right now."

Namjoon hesitated, the conflict evident on his face. The idol image versus Jin's immediate medical needs. There was no real choice. "I... I understand, Doctor. Please do what you need to do to make him better." It was a small sacrifice in the grand scheme of things, but one he knew would likely upset Jin deeply when he regained consciousness. Still, Jin's life was paramount. The hair could grow back. He just hoped Jin would understand.

The sterile scent of antiseptic hung heavy in the air of Jin's private hospital room. Jungkook entered cautiously, his heart clenching at the sight of Jin lying still and pale against the white sheets. An oxygen mask covered his mouth, rising and falling with shallow breaths, and various tubes snaked from his arm and chest, connecting him to the beeping monitors beside the bed. Unconscious.
Jungkook pulled a chair close to the bedside and sank into it, his gaze fixed on Jin's peaceful yet vulnerable face. He gently took Jin's hand, his own trembling slightly as he held it. The warmth of Jin's skin was a small comfort in the cold reality of the situation.

"If I had just stayed," Jungkook whispered, his voice thick with unshed tears, "if I hadn't been so tired, if I had waited for you in the studio... this wouldn't have happened, right?" A tear escaped and traced a lonely path down his cheek, landing on Jin's hand.

He squeezed Jin's hand gently. "I never wanted to think badly of you, hyung. You're our eldest, a part of BTS. Without you... we would be broken. You're one of the pillars that hold us all up. We love you so, so much. But... why, hyung? Why did things change? Why did your love for me become more than just brotherly? Why?"

A wave of guilt washed over Jungkook, a bitter counterpoint to his sorrow. He had been so consumed by his desire to protect Jimin that he had concocted that cruel plan, agreeing to a marriage born of fear and manipulation. He had wanted to hurt Jin, to make himself repulsive, hoping Jin would eventually despise him and want to leave, thus removing the threat to Jimin.

"I... I wanted to marry you to hurt you," Jungkook confessed softly, his voice barely audible above the rhythmic beeping of the monitors. "To create negativity, to make you hate me so you would leave me... so Jimin could be safe. But..." His voice cracked, the lie he had constructed crumbling under the weight of Jin's current state. "How...? How can I stand to see you like this? In pain... because of what happened..." The raw conflict within him was etched on his face, the protective love for Jimin warring with the deep-seated affection and guilt he felt for his injured hyung.

The carefully constructed walls around his heart were beginning to crumble, revealing the messy, complicated truth of his feelings.

A grim resolve settled over Jungkook, hardening his gaze. The raw vulnerability he had momentarily displayed beside Jin's unconscious form retreated, replaced by a carefully constructed wall. He would not let his conflicted feelings show. He would stick to his plan. He had to. Jimin's safety depended on it.

He took a deep breath, pushing down the burgeoning guilt and the unexpected pang of protectiveness he had felt for Jin. Those were just fleeting emotions, a byproduct of seeing his hyung so vulnerable. They didn't change anything. He still needed to create distance between Jin and Jimin.

His focus now narrowed, laser-like, onto Jin's recovery. That was the immediate priority. A healthy Jin was a Jin he could manipulate, a Jin he could push away. A weak, injured Jin complicated things.
He would be there for Jin, attentive to his needs, a constant presence by his bedside. He would follow the doctors' instructions meticulously, ensuring Jin received the best possible care. He would feign concern, play the dutiful husband, all the while carefully plotting his next move, the next step in his plan to make Jin despise him.

It would be a performance, a carefully crafted act designed to lull Jin into a false sense of security, to make him believe that their forced marriage had a chance. And then, when Jin was strong enough, Jungkook would unleash the "wolf" he had promised, making himself so unbearable that Jin would eventually want out.

He would bury the inconvenient flicker of genuine care he had felt, the unwanted empathy that had surfaced in the face of Jin's suffering. He would remind himself of Jimin's fear, of the potential danger Jin posed. His love for Jimin demanded this sacrifice, this calculated cruelty.

Jungkook straightened his shoulders, his expression now carefully blank. His focus was clear: Jin's recovery, followed by the execution of his plan. He would hold it all inside, the conflicting emotions, the guilt, the fleeting moments of unwanted tenderness. He would play the part, for Jimin's sake.
