Chapter 8: Unity day

Early this morning when the sun had just started rising Octavia and I were kicked out of the tent by a grumpy Bellamy who wanted to sleep.

"I'm not tired so I'm going to go for a little walk" Octavia says when we get to my tent which is full of people.

"Okay be safe" I say, placing a kiss on her lips before I slip into my tent.

"Move over" I whisper to miller

He grunts and shifts over to make space for me.

Before falling asleep I notice Fox was missing from the tent but I shrug it off and close my eyes.

When I wake up the tent is empty.

I put my long brown hair into a loose braid and walk outside.

Many people are gathered around a small screen that raven must have hooked up to the front of the drop ship.

It's a video broadcast from the arks unity day celebration.

But everyone soon gets distracted when Jasper comes out of one of the tents with a batch of what hes calling "Unity Juice" from Monty's still.

As Jasper is handing out drinks I see Fox sneak back into camp.

I mentally note to ask her where she was later.

I turn back to the screen to see that it's gone blank.

"What happened?" I ask Raven

"We lost connection, I'm sure it will be back soon" she assures me

"Hey, can we talk?" Octavia says when she walks over to me

"Yea sure. What is it?" I reply, while we walk somewhere quieter to speak

"When I was on my walk I saw Fox...with the grounder" she says

"What were they doing?" I ask

"They kissed I was hiding behind a tree so they don't know that I saw them" she says

"Oh" I say shocked

"But the weirdest part is that I saw Finn walk up and start talking to them to." She tells me

"What?" I whisper yell "he almost killed Finn before"

"We need to find out what's going on. You get Fox and I'll get Finn. Meet me back here in 5"

We both find who were looking for and then return back to the meeting point.

"So is there something any of you want to tell us?" Octavia says to them

"What are you talking about Octavia?" Finn says

"Oh cut the bullshit, She saw you guys in the woods" I say to them

Foxes face goes pale.

"You can't tell anyone, I'll get in trouble" Fox says quietly

"We won't we just need to know what's going on" I say

"Were trying to make a deal with the grounders but you guys can't tell anyone. Me, Clarke and Fox are going to meet with their leader soon" Finn explains

"Why isn't Bellamy going?" I ask confused

"He cannot know about this" Finn says sternly

"Fine, just stay safe okay" I say to them but it's mostly directed towards Fox

Soon after the trio leave I see Jasper, Bellamy and Raven sneak out after them with guns. I guess they found out about the plan to meet the grounders after all.

"Relax I'm sure there fine" Octavia says to me after I start pacing

"It's been hours, they should be back by now" I say worried

She puts in her hands on my shoulders to stop me from walking.

"They.will.be.fine" she says again before handing me a drink

I chug it before refilling my cup with more of the moonshine.

"Whoa slow down" she says chuckling

"No, you're right I need to relax, this is how I'm going to do that" I say downing another drink

Octavia and I go and sit with Miller and sterling who are playing some sort of drinking game

"Want to play?" Sterling asks

I nod "I don't know how to though"

"I'll teach you" he says with a grin

It turns out I'm very bad at drinking games which resulted in me getting very drunk, very fast.

"Octaviaaaaa" I called obnoxiously to the brunette who was sitting with a few people by the fire.

"Yes?" She asks chuckling after walking over to me

"I like you" I slur

"I like you too" she says giggling at my obviously drunken state

"No like, I really really like you and I don't want you to be with goggle boy" I tell her

"Is this about Jasper again? I told you there's nothing going on wi-"she starts to say but I cut her off when I place a kiss on her lips

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask drunkenly

"You're drunk" she replies

"And you're hot." I reply

She gives me a puzzled look

"Oh I thought we were just stating obvious things" I say

She bursts out laughing

"Yes, I will be your girlfriend" she says

"yayy" I cheer a little too loud

"Hey look" Octavia says pointing to something behind me

I turn around to see that the group has returned but they all look pretty mad and are arguing.

"I'm going to assume it didn't go exactly to plan" Octavia says sighing

"Well they're all back and alive so I really don't care what happened out there" I tell her truthfully

"Let's just hope they didn't piss of the grounders even more than we already have"

A/N: Sorry for such a short chapter but i did a double update so I figured you guys would be okay with this.

It may turn into a triple update  but if not I'll probably update again tomorrow
