Chapter 9:I am become death

Soon after the group returned last night we saw a ship that we assumed to be the first group of people from the arc coming down crash and explode a few miles away.

Clarke was devastated because her mother was on the ship.

I doubt mine were because the most important people would be coming down first because they certainly weren't very high in rankings.

Right now a group of us were on our way to look at the wreckage to see if there was anything left.

When we arrive at the crash site there are machine parts everywhere and we all spread out to see what we can find.

"Everyone look for a little black box, it may help us figure out why this ship crashed" Raven called out

"Make sure to watch out for grounders there bound to retaliate for what happened on the bridge yesterday" Bellamy shouts

I haven't really gotten a clear story as to what happened but all I know is we basically started a war and are screwed.

I'm walking beside Clarke when we see a pink liquid oozing out of part of the broken ship.

"What's this?" I ask Clarke

She leans in to get a closer look

"Get away from that" Raven shouts, running over to us. "That's hydrazine it's highly explosive" she explains while dipping a small rock in it and throwing into one of the small fires spread out around us from the ship crash.

It instantly causes a small explosion.

"Bellamy clear the area" Raven tell him

"Come on guys let's get out of here" he shouts to the people who were still looking through the wreckage

As soon as we get back to camp Miller comes rushing over.

"Murphy's back, he's in the drop ship" He says to Bellamy

"What!" Bellamy shouts running into it with me and Clarke right behind him

The drop ship is full of people and I push through them to see Murphy sitting in the corner bloody and bruised.

"Everyone but Connor and Derek out!" Bellamy shouts clearing the drop ship of everyone but the five of us

"We caught him trying to sneak back in" Connor says

"I wasn't trying to sneak back in I was running from the grounders" Murphy says quietly

"Anyone see any grounders?" Bellamy asks

Connor and Derek both shake their heads to say no

Bellamy raises his gun to Murphy

"Stop" I shout shoving his gun back down

"We were clear what would happen if he came back" Bellamy says

"I don't care you can't kill him" I scream at Bellamy

"She's right" Finn says as he walks in the drop ship "he could give us information about the grounders if he was with them"

"How do we know he's not lying about the grounders?" Bellamy asks

Clarke crouches down in front of murphy to get a better look.

"Well he's obviously been beaten and his finger nails have been torn off" she says holding his hand up to show us

I cringe at the thought of the grounders torturing my friend like that.

"What did you tell them about us?" Bellamy asks
