By the time Jane pulled up at her apartment Bethany and Deanna had both fallen to sleep, their small heads resting in the windows. Carefully Erik and Jane picked up the sleeping girls while Darcy grabbed their suitcases from the trunk/boot of the car and wheeled them into the apartment.

The sleeping girls were placed on the sofa just for that night until Jane could set them up some proper beds. Jane slipped the girls shoes off while Darcy lay two blankets over them. Bethany stirred slightly while Deanna simply turned onto her side and nuzzled her head into the sofa cushions.

The next morning Bethany woke up to someone poking her face and laughing while they did so. The brunette groaned slightly and aloud her eyes to flutter open. The giggling continued as Bethany blinked a few times and took in her surroundings. Deanna laughed again.

"Did you have to wake me?" The taller five year old asked, sitting up.

"Yeah, Jane said breakfast is almost done!" The blonde replied, jumping off the sofa and running through to the kitchen. Bethany followed closely behind and the two waited patiently up the table. Jane handed the pair some pancakes, along with some for herself, Darcy and Erik.

"How was your sleep girls?" Miss Foster asked, placing a glass of water in front of each girl.

"Good thanks." Deanna replied with a smile.

"I slept well thank you." Bethany nodded. "But it would have been nice to have not been woken." The brunette stared at the blonde with a playful glare.

"Whoever woke you isn't a very nice person are they?" Deanna asked rhetorically, pretending to not know anything at all. The three females up the table chuckled before continuing to eat and make small talk. They spoke about all kinds of things and the girls made sure Jane knew what she wanted to know about them.

"So let me get this straight." Darcy began, she and Erik had joined the table not long ago. "You can Understand and empathise with every emotion," Bethany nodded. "And you can speak and write every language like it's your first?"

"That's about it yeah." Deanna confirmed with a grin.

"And then Bethany has the power of illusions while Deanna has the power of healing?" Erik checked.

"That's us." The brunette nodded.

"Anything else we need to know?" Jane asked. The girls thought for a moment.

"I don't think there is." Bethany murmured.

"Apart from the fact we aren't sisters." Deanna nodded.

A/N

I know it's short and I am sorry for that but at the moment some chapters are just needed to help the story along, you don't really learn anything new in them. But I promise that soon there will be some action and more will happen in terms of the girls.

Also I'm writing my other story 'The new Battle' right now too, the fourth book in my 'The new' series. All the books are on my profile if you want to check them out. They go in the order:

Book one- The new Avengers
Book two- The new missions
Book three- The new enemies
Book four- The new Battle (this one is the only one not complete)

Anyway thanks for reading and I would live for you to:
