Author’s Note 💌
I know I disappeared for a whole lot of days, but hear me out—5 of those days I was completely knocked out by fever, migraines, nausea and the whole ugly combo 🤒💀. Please take care of yourselves before you end up like me, stuck in bed glaring at the ceiling. August is a month where the sun shines brighter than your future, the rain reminds you how pleasant it is just with mud and insects so yeah August is not a month to be messing around and expecting your immunity to work. And if you are already in the same boat, then get well soon, my fellow warriors 🫶✨---
Kashi had been standing at the door for two minutes straight. Her brother was literally smiling at his phone like an idiot. Professor sir, serious and strict, smiling at… what?
She couldn’t take it anymore.
“Bhaiyaaa,” she dragged the word, storming in, “since when do you grin at your phone? Don’t tell me you’re in love with Google search.”Anubhav instantly shoved the phone in his pocket, ears going pink. “Kashi. Don’t you have college?”
She folded her arms. “Don’t change the topic. Show me your phone.”
“No.”
“Yes.” She jumped to snatch it. He simply raised his hand high above her head.
“Not happening,” he said, but his tone was too soft to sound scary.
Kashi smirked. “Fine. Keep it. But bhaiya… your face already told me everything.”

Haseena was leaning at the door with Shazia and Riya. She looked up. Anubhav was walking in. But—wait. A girl next to him?
Her stomach flipped.
“Baby, this is my sister. Kashi.”
Haseena smiled, trying not to overthink. “Hi.”
“Hi,” Kashi said, looking her up and down way too openly. Then she smirked. “So… you’re Haseena.”
The way she said it made Haseena’s cheeks burn. “Yes.”
Kashi raised a brow, eyes darting from Haseena to her brother. “Interesting.”
Anubhav glared at her, but she just shrugged like she hadn’t said anything suspicious.
When classes ended, Kashi leaned close to Anubhav as they walked.
“You’re finished,” she whispered, grinning like a devil.“Kashi…” He warned.
“Relax. I won’t tell anyone.” She paused, then added, “But bhaiya… you both should really work on hiding it. Your eyes? Too obvious.”
She skipped ahead, leaving Anubhav rubbing his forehead and Haseena replaying that smirk over and over, wondering—was she really that obvious?
