The morning sun filtered through the curtains, but peace was nowhere in sight. Dadi sat in the living room, cane tapping, muttering to herself as she plotted her next strike.Dadi (to herself): “Yeh ladki… aur yeh professor… main in dono ko alag kar dungi. Aur yeh chhoti si Kashi? Usse kuch nahi milega.”
Across the house, Veer, Vansh, and Kashi were huddled in whispers, planning counter-moves.
Veer: “Baby ke liye kuch karna padega. Dadi abhi bhi chahti hai ki yeh sab khatam ho jaye.”
Vansh: “Par kya karenge bhaiya?”
Kashi: “Main already plan kar rahi hoon! Agar Dadi kuch bhi karne ki koshish karegi… main uske liye ready hoon. Bhaiya aur Haseena di ko koi tang nahi karega.”

Later, Haseena was walking to college with Anubhav, hearts quietly racing. The streets were alive with the morning rush, but they barely noticed anything.Haseena (teasingly): “Tum kal raat ko itne serious kyun lag rahe the?”
Anubhav smirked, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.
Anubhav: “Serious? Nah… bas soch raha tha, tumhare saath har pal aur bhi perfect kaise banau.”Haseena’s cheeks warmed instantly.
Haseena: “Oh… aur kya socha?”He leaned closer, whispering so no one around could hear.
Anubhav: “Bas yahi ki tumhare liye main kuch bhi kar sakta hoon.”Her heart tripped, and she bumped lightly into his shoulder, pretending to adjust her bag.

Back at home, Dadi had already set her plan in motion: a surprise visit to Haseena’s college the next day to “catch them in the act.” But Veer, Vansh, and Kashi were already two steps ahead.
Veer (whispering to Haseena): “Dadi ka plan kuch bhi ho… hum tumhare saath hain.”
Vansh: “Haan… aur koi tang karega toh main uske saath ladunga!”
Kashi: “Aur main bhabhi di ke liye full backup hoon. Bhaiya ka support bhi mere saath hai, samjhi?”
Haseena laughed quietly, shaking her head.
Haseena: “Mujhe lagta hai… main sabse lucky hoon. Mere saath ye log hain, aur… aur tum bhi, Anubhav.”Anubhav smiled softly, taking her hand for a brief second. The touch lingered, sending tiny sparks through her.

Evening arrived, and chaos hit the house. Dadi was pacing, plotting ways to separate the couple, while the three “protectors”—Veer, Vansh, and Kashi—kept a vigilant watch.Dadi (muttering): “Aaj ya kal, main in dono ko alag kar dungi. Samjhe?!”
Meanwhile, Haseena and Anubhav managed to sneak a small moment together in the backyard.
Haseena: “Tum mujhse teasing kyun karte ho itna?”
Anubhav (smirking): “Teasing? Nah… bas tumhare cheeks ka color dekh raha tha.”
Haseena’s face went crimson.
Haseena: “Tum… bas… chhodo!”He leaned slightly closer, brushing his lips against hers in a fleeting, almost-accidental kiss that left her stunned.
Just then, Veer appeared around the corner, smirking knowingly.
Veer: “Baby… plan ke according safe location choose karna padta hai, samjhi?”Haseena’s cheeks burned brighter, Vansh hiding behind a bush, muttering:
Vansh: “Yeh sab kya ho raha hai?!”Kashi popped up from the side, grinning.
Kashi: “Mission accomplished! Bhaiya aur Haseena di safe rahe, aur Dadi ko koi idea nahi lagega!”
🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀By nightfall, the house was buzzing. Dadi was frustrated, realizing her plans were constantly foiled. Haseena and Anubhav shared small, secret smiles whenever they could, their hands brushing, stolen whispers, and teasing glances creating sparks everywhere.
But Dadi’s eyes were sharp, scanning every corner. She kept watching Haseena as if waiting for a slip, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Veer, of course, noticed. The way Anubhav leaned close, murmuring something that made Haseena’s cheeks flush pink, the way Vansh smirked knowingly—it was all too obvious now.
Later that evening, as everyone sat in the living room, Dadi finally cleared her throat.
“Abbu,” she began sweetly, “yeh ladka… roz roz aata hai. Tumne notice kiya?”Abbu looked up from his newspaper, frowning. “Kaunsa ladka?”
Before Dadi could answer, Kashi suddenly jumped in, voice louder than intended. “Anubhav bhaiya ka matlab toh clear hai, Dadi. Haseena bhabhi ke bina woh reh hi nahi sakte!”
The room froze. Haseena nearly choked on air, while Anubhav looked like he wanted to melt into the floor.
“Bhabhi?” Abbu’s voice thundered. “Kashi beta, yeh tum kya keh rahi ho?”
But Kashi wasn’t one to be silenced. She folded her arms, glaring straight at Dadi. “Haan, Bhabhi. Mujhe Haseena bhabhi chahiye. Aur koi ladki meri bhaiya ke liye perfect ho hi nahi sakti!”
Dadi’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Tum bachi ho, Kashi. Tumhe samajh nahi hai—”
“Samajh toh mujhe aap se zyada hai,” Kashi shot back, her tone fierce. “Aap bas alag karna jaanti ho. Main jodna jaanti hoon.”
Veer, who’d been silent until now, leaned forward, smirking. “Kashi bilkul sahi keh rahi hai. Haseena meri behen hai, aur main usse kisi aise ladke ke saath hi dekhna chahunga jo usse waise hi izzat aur pyaar de. Anubhav bilkul waise hi hai.”
Vansh, eager not to be left behind, raised his hand dramatically. “Main bhi support karta hoon! Baby ke liye Anubhav bhaiya perfect hain.”
Haseena buried her face in her hands, whispering under her breath, “Yeh family mujhe zinda kha jaayegi.”
Meanwhile, Anubhav caught her wrist under the dupatta, giving it a reassuring squeeze. His thumb brushed over her skin, sending a shiver through her. She looked up, and he mouthed softly, “Main hoon na.”
Her lips curved into the smallest, shyest smile—but of course Veer noticed. He leaned close and whispered, “Arrey wah, Baby. Pehle haath pakadna, ab smile bhi… kal shaadi karwa dein kya?”
Her eyes widened in horror, and she elbowed him hard in the ribs. Veer laughed under his breath, enjoying every second of her misery.
The chaos only grew louder as Abbu argued with Ammi, Baba tried to calm everyone down, and Dadi huffed about “izzat” and “ghar ka naam.” But in the middle of all that noise, Haseena and Anubhav’s little world stayed intact—hands brushing, stolen glances, and a silent promise hanging between them: no matter what, they weren’t letting go.
