Flashback:

"You're such a clever little girl" Spoke the thing to you as it placed a hand on either shoulder, spiny fingers curling around your shoulders and pressing into fabric, "You must have gotten involved with Maka Albarn and her friends so that you could get in close with them, right? After all, they are some of the most talented meisters and weapons in their classes- So of course they would be used for many of the more-important missions, right? So I assume that you began to talk to them so that you could gain their trust and learn their weaknesses?"

You stumbled over words- Lips fumbling to attempt to create words, or at least to say something that would be understandable. You could feel your heart beating in your chest- Nearly exploding out of them. "I-I-I-I s-s-s-suppose that is wh-why I did that" The lie didn't come from your lips as smoothly as you wished for it to. It came out fumbled- Uncomfortable. You sounded as though you were a nervous wreck, because you rightfully were. That feeling of being trapped still thudded in your chest- That feeling of being pinned in a corner and not being able to get up.

That feeling was something you swore that you would never feel again- And it was back. It felt like someone was taking you by the neck and throttling you- Forcing all of the air out of your lungs and leaving you to suffocate. Except, you never died. Only suffocated and suffocated and suffocated. Because dying would be a mercy, and you weren't shown mercy. Mercy was for those who came of good families- Mercy was for those who were born fortunate. No, you weren't lucky enough to have mercy. Nobody would just give you mercy. The world just wasn't that kind.

"What an intelligent little girl! Why did I ever allow you to leave? You could have been more useful had I kept you!" It sounded excited- Exhilarated, nearly. "Well, now is not the time to dwell on the past! I cut the strings but now I'm going to thread them back into your joints and have you dance to my music! Now, listen to me. I have something for you to do, is that alright? We're going to call it Mission Maka" You could feel your heart in your chest just stop and hold still. You had just met the girl- She was a nice girl, at that! And now you were going to have to double-cross her. There was no other choice- Or so you convinced yourself. "Shibusen is holding a school dance soon, to commemorate their anniversary. From what I hear in my own personal grapevine, Medusa is going to release the Kishin on that day. What I need you to do is aide them in releasing it. I'm passing you from my chain of command to Medusa, alright? But the moment the Kishin is released, you'll come right back to me and we'll think of a way to double-cross her together"

These meetings only proved to spiral you even further into the pits of absolute despair. Deeper and deeper you would get into this- Burrowing yourself further and further into trouble. Why couldn't you stop? You didn't have a choice. You couldn't say no. Your life was at stake- Your sanity.

"May I ask what the Kishin is?" You questioned.

It's lips dropped to your ears,

"The Kishin is something that will bring insanity to the world- Something that I will use to my advantage. The Kishin will aide me in taking what is rightfully mine"

"And what is that?" You questioned.

"Everything"

Flashback End

"I never thought that you of all people would be inside intellect" Spoke Medusa as she dusted off her thighs. The two of you happened to be dressed to the nine- After all, it was the night of the Shibusen Anniversary- And it was always celebrated with a formal dance. Well, the kids were dressed formal but there was no way that they acted that way. But it didn't matter- They were kids, they needed the fun that came with growing up. You wouldn't stop what little time they had left to be fun. Let them live the childhood they never had. Though, you never spoke that thought of yours out loud. Your image to maintain was someone that was distant. If you were distant, then there was less of a chance that people would bother to figure out who you were, "That was very clever of your boss to do- Put in an average person to relay him information. After all, who would suspect someone who is neither a meister, witch nor weapon? I have to admit- That was something that I should have thought of"
