Its 11:50 PM and Luke's been asleep for the past hour. Tonight has been really awkward between us, so we both just sat there silently watching tv until he dosed off.
As much as I know I shouldn't, I slip on my shoes and head down to meet Calum.
There he is. With his back to me, broad shoulders and messy hair, dressed in all black, as usual. I know it's weird but I could honestly just stand here and watch him forever, without him even knowing, and just be really happy with that.
I sneak behind him and wrap my arms around him, surprising him completely.
"Sky!" he shouts almost too giddily. Hopefully this means he's not upset with me anymore.
"Cal!" I mimic back.
He turns around and envelops me in a big, cozy Calum hug. I take what I said earlier back. I'd much rather stand here forever in his arms. I could really be happy with that.
"Come on!" Cal says, pulling me out the door.
"Where are we going?"
Calum waves down a taxi and completely ignores my question.
Just a few short moments later, we're standing in the center of Times Square.
After staring at my surroundings in awe, I turn to Calum to see he's looking right back at me.
"Skyler?" he asks while looking straight into my eyes.
"Yeah, Cal?"
"I planned this whole night for us, I wanted to show you all of New York and just spend this magical night with you. I want to show you some of the most beautiful sights in the world. I want to be the one to give you the whole world. I want to be the one you take adventures with and show you all the beauty in life. At the end of the night, I wanted to tell you how much I care for you, how much you mean to me and how I'm falling for you and I won't give up till you're mine. But now, just looking at you, here with me, I can't wait any longer. I realized that this is the most beautiful sight I will ever see."
