"Oh my gosh, I love you, Calum! You're so amazing, I can't believe I'm meeting you right now!"
I fake a smile for all the fans I'm meeting. They do make me happy and I'm forever grateful for them all, but today I'm in such a shit mood, nothing could cheer me up. Especially sitting next to Luke. I'm not even angry at him anymore, just for the fact that every time I look at him, I think of her. And it really fucking hurts to think of her.
"Calum! Look what a fan just gave me!" Michael shouts from the other side of the room. He comes running over with a stuffed Pikachu. I manage a laugh.
Someone shouts at us "Second to last group of fans guys, you're almost done!"
A few girls walk in the room, we all pose for a picture, make some small talk, and say goodbye. Suddenly all the boys just start walking away.
"Umm guys, we have another group of fans left. Where the hell are you all going?" I ask.
"Mmm, I think this fan would rather just meet you, Calum" Ash replies.
Huh? I'm so confused what the guys are up to right now.
Did Luke just wink at me?
As soon as I start to follow them, giving up on whatever I just said, I hear,
"Last fan then time for the show."
So, I turn around to quickly pose for the last picture, coming face to face with the fan.
"Hi, Cal" she says.
Sky is standing right in front of me, the room empty apart from us two.
"Sky? What are...what are you doing here?"
"This is a meet and greet, and Calum, I'm your biggest fan. In fact, I'm a whole lot more than that. I'm so so sorry for everything I did. I made a mistake and I know I can't take it back. But I need you to understand how much I love you. Sometimes we bring out the worst in each other, but you know what? We also bring out the best when we are together. You give my life meaning. Without you, I'm nobody because I can't be anything without you by my side."
I immediately pull her in for a hug, not letting her see the single tear fall down my cheek.
"Sky, I love you so much. I know us together can be scary and it definitely hasn't been easy, but I'm not going another day without you. I've realized how miserable I am every day, every second without you. I need you to be mine. I need your love." I quickly confess.
The next three words that came out of her mouth were all I needed to hear.
I love you, Calum.
Our lips met and in that moment I knew, she was and always would be my happy ever after.
