CHAPTER EIGHT

When the coast is clear Jack, Will and I run towards a small dinghy that sits on the beach upside down. We quickly hide under it I cant believe Jack got this idea out of me from when I was talking with Will. Keeping low we lift the small boat and scuttle into the sea. Miraculously no one notices us as we move steadily along the sand and into the water. Deep under the water we hold the boat down, our heads in a large air pocket. I hear Will pant from behind me "this is either madness..... or brilliance!". "Its remarkable how often those two coincide" Jack answers from in front of me. "You know Jack when I said we should do this I was joking I didn't really mean we should." I say to him "yes darling I know but it was brilliant love", "thank you Jack". I look down as I reply and I see Will's foot go down into a crap trap. He stumbles as he tries and shakes he's foot free but gives up when it doesn't come off, so he drags it along with us. I giggle at him and his stupidity "good one Turner" I say to him, he just mumbles and tells me to "shut up pirate". "I do have a name Turner other than pirate its Sirena Blackthorn learn how to use it". Ignoring me "Sparrow how do we know when we are near the ship?" Will asks god he is so annoying. "When I say so mate" Jack answers sounding annoyed with the question. "And whens that ,do you honestly have any idea?", "Fucking shut it Turner I'll go check if you just stop talking" I snap at him "wait here for me". Taking a deep breath I let go of the sides of the dinghy, I close my eyes and sink into the water. Opening my eyes I blink a couple of times and push myself out from under the boat and swim forwards and up a little. Looking around I can see the Dauntless just ahead. Only about 50 steps away give or take a few. Swimming back down towards the sea bed I brush past Jack's legs and use his right leg to push me towards Will's feet. I Get rid of the crab trap stuck on Will's foot for him and move it away. Running out of breath I swim back towards Jack and use his body to drag myself upwards. With my head back in the air pocket I quickly breathe in my hands on Jack's shoulder's keeping me in place. Panting I say to Will "Don't ever say.... I'm not nice Turner.... I didn't have to..... get rid of that crab trap." "Thanks Sirena" he mumbles finally he uses my name. "We are about 50 steps give ..... or take a couple away... from the Dauntless" I say slowly my breathing gos back to normal. Grabbing the sides of the dinghy again "Thanks Jack for letting me use you to lean on". I say as we continue walking "no worries love use me anytime" he answers cheekily. "I might just do that Jack" I reply just as cheeky. My arms start to get sore and my stomach and back hurt but not as bad as before. Finally we reach the Dauntless "How are we supposed to reach the surface?" Will asks "we can't just swim up there we would run out of breath", "eh I'm still thinking mate" Jack answers. We stand there thinking until suddenly "Well if we let go of the boat it would slowly float to the surface a little before it filled with water. So if we still hold on to the boat and push off of the sea bed with our feet we should start to rise to the top, then we the air runs out we could just swim the rest of the way." I say I had become one of the best student's back at school I'm glad it now comes in handy.

Doing as I said we slowly rise to the top, when the air is gone I'm  the first to let go and swim upwards. Breaking the surface first taking deep breaths, waiting for the boys I swim closer to the back end of the Dauntless. When they surface they swim towards me "so who's climbing up first?" I ask looking up at the ship. Both guys look to me and Will says "you are the smallest and lightest it would be easier for you". He has a point but I don't want to do it, it would cause me to much to pain pulling myself up. I don't say anything cause I don't want to show any weakness looking at them and then back to the ship I sigh. "Alright lift me up then" swimming as close as I can get to the ship Jack and Will place themselves behind me. I put each of my hands on one of there shoulder's as the they cup both there hands and put them under my feet. "OK ready one... two... Three" on three Jack and Will push me up in the air and I latch onto a bit of the ship and start to climb up. God dam it the pain,  Jack and Will don't seem to notice my sharp intake's of breath and my shaky arms as they start to climb too. Half way up I have to stop and catch my breath and rest a little and let the pain subside. Jack notice's that I have stopped and he climb's over to me. "Are you OK?" he asks "yea I'm fine just catching my breath you guy's go ahead I'll be right behind you" I answer Jack just nods and starts to climb again couple of seconds after I follow him. Jacks the first one over the side he helps Will over first and them me. I collapse by the foot of the helm and try and slow my breathing and ignore the pain. "Are you alright Sirena? Because you don't look fine, did you hurt anything?" Will asks as he kneels down in front of me and Jack by the side of me. "I'm fine don't worry about me" I snap Will backs away and so does Jack but not as far. He offer's his hand to help me up and I take it gladly "does anyone have an extra sword or something for me?" I ask as I get pulled up I wince a little but otherwise I'm fine. Will hands me one of his "here take this one I was going to use it for myself but we all need a weapon" I take it from him its not the right sword for me but it will do for now "Thank you" I say to Will and turn towards Jack and wait for his sign. Jack nods his head and walks around the helm "everyone stay calm!" He says casually "we are taking over the ship" I walk out next to Jack on his right side and Will draws his sword and stands on his left. "Aye! Avast!" he yells I glare at him "what the fuck Turner?" I say he just made us look like idiots. The crew laugh, Jack just looks at him and will glances back as if to say what?. Gillette gloats "this ship cannot be crewed by two men and a woman. You'll never make it out of the bay" I turn my glare on Gillette and then look at Jack and ask him if I could say something by using my eyes. Jack nods and I turn back to Gillette I raise my sword higher and cut his cheek a little. "Say that again" I warn him "say anything about a woman who can't do something and I'll castrate you." I growl out, he visibly swallows but doesn't dare move all the other men turn to look at me and move around slightly. Jack turns back to Gillette "son.... I'm Captain Jack Sparrow savvy?" He says and points his gun at Gillette's nose. The crew quickly lower a dinghy and get into it and row away towards the fort as Jack and Will move around the ship. I move back to the back of the ship and keep a look out. I notice the Interceptor set sail and head towards us "here they come" I call out as Jack disables the rudder chain. Jack looks at me and smiles and I walk back onto the deck. Will, Jack and I hide as the Interceptor pulls up beside us. Norrington and his men board the Dauntless only to find the deck empty and us nowhere in sight. "Search every cabin, every hold, down to the bilgest" he order's and his men race around like headless chickens. At that Jack takes my hand and wraps a arm around my waist and swings us over to the Interceptor, with Will right behind us. Jack goes to the helm and grabs the wheel, Will starts on some rope's and I cut line's holding us to the Dauntless. We start to sail away as I walk towards Jack. Norrington watch's with a look of horror plastered on his face "sailors, back to the Interceptor! Now!" he yells. One sailor cries "quickly men" they try to reach us but they are too late. Another man in a desperate attempt swing's out on a rope but misses us by a long shot and he tumbles into the ocean. I laugh at this and Jack shouts from the helm "thank you commodore for getting us ready to make way. We would of had a hard time of it by ourselves !". The look on Norrington's face was priceless I laugh even harder, blow him a kiss and wave as we sail away.
