Chapter 39

Tia's POV

I gave myself a few minutes before I left the storage cupboard. My cheeks were still flushed and I felt all floaty.
Probably because you've just been kissed Tia.

Not any old kiss, a kiss from him. From Jai.

So many thoughts were going through my head, like Jai said it was wrong but it was so right. I wanted him back, I wanted to be with him.

"Teeyaa" I inwardly sighed as Katie, Kelly's friend on the tour ran up to me. At the beginning Kelly wasn't allowed any friends on the tour, but because she made a show of being lonely without Jai and that me and Dani weren't making her welcome management let her bring another friend. Another exact version of her, even with the same initial for their first name.

Flashback

"Boys... and you two, this is my best friend Katie!!"
"Wait hold up, which ones which? I can't tell" Beau joked and we all laughed.
"I'm Katie, isn't it obvious?"
"They sound alike too, Jai your girlfriends an alien." Daniel laughed and highfived Luke who cheered at his impressive comment.
"Oh shut up Danny. It's pretty clear who's who here. But we are just like sisters, maybe I can set her up with you Luke." Kelly sneered at Dani but tried to pass it off as a cute giggle at Jai.
"First, his name is Daniel, and second I'm taken you know that." Luke fired back whilst linking his fingers with Dani who instantly relaxed her tense shoulders.
"Hm yeah we'll see, come on Katie, it's boring when the boys are rehearsing."

End of flashback

"It's just Tia."
"Oh sorry," I could hence the sarcasm in her voice "I know I shouldn't be doing this, but Jai asked me to hand this to you." She handed me a small scrap of folded paper.
I shot her a look, I had serious doubts about this. Why would Jai ever give Katie, Kelly's best friend, a note to give to me?

"Don't worry, I won't tell Kelly. Your secret is safe with me." She nudged her elbow into my side a little too hard and I winced.
"Erm thanks?" I took the note and walked back over to the side of the stage.
"I THINK YOU AND JAI ARE A MUCH BETTER COUPLE" I heard her weeny voice shout into my back, but I ignored it and focused on the note.

"meet me in the empty dressing room at the end of the hall backstage?
your Jai x "

I couldn't help but smile and blush. It wasn't long after our confrontation in the storage cupboard and he already wanted to continue it. I stood at the side of the stage watching the boys continuing their show, note in hand.

Jai turned towards me and his face was beaming. I waved the note in the air a bit, to double check it was from him and his face became puzzled before nodding lots.

That must mean it was from him... right?

Jai's POV

I don't know what go into me, but that moment in that room it just felt like it was me and Tia.
No one else, no problems or distractions just us two.
I knew I probably shouldn't of kissed her but she looked stunning even when she looked so natural. She looked beautiful with hardly any or no makeup, and she looked beautiful when she was dressed up for something special with a bit more makeup on. At least she knew how to effectively use quite a bit of makeup.. unlike um... some people... um.

The interval seemed to be over so quickly and it wasn't long until I was back on stage with my  best friends playing some kind of mystery date game. We did it each show, 3 of the guys would sit on chairs behind a silhouette screen and Dani would pick a few girls from the audience onto the stage to introduce themselves and then each guy picked a girl to go on 'a date'. It was really just a back stage pass and some photos and some food after the show but the fans didn't seem to mind one bit.

I was presenting with James, and Luke, Beau and Daniel were behind the screen.
I looked to the left and saw Tee standing there blushing and smiling, waving a bit of paper in her hand.
I was really confused to start with and then realised she must have written me a note, she is so adorable! I smiled and nodded, blushing whilst I tried to imagine what was written on that bit of paper.

Little did I know.

Tia's POV

It was a little while after the show had finished and I was waiting in the little dressing room at the end of the hallway just like Jai had said.
The room was empty, with a large mirror on a wall that stretched from one side to the other. The bulbs that framed it wouldn't turn on so the room was dark besides the sky light above which let through the light from the moon, creating a perfect spotlight on the floor.

The was a sofa and a couple of chairs, and a fresh bouquet of flowers which I assumed might have been planned by Jai before. They smelt so lovely and made the whole room smell fragrant, which covered the slowly increasing mould patch on the corner of the ceiling, ew.

I sat facing the mirror, twiddling my hair. It had already been 20 minutes, was he even coming?
My knee started bobbing under the dresser, making me aware of how nervous I was. Although the moonlight was beautiful it also created horrible, frightening shadows on the walls. It was dead silent in this part of the venue which was unusual for how noisy the rest of it is. Only adding to the tense scary atmosphere that I was in.

I saw a figure at the door, and let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding, and looked myself up and down in the mirror to make sure I looked presentable for him.

I could hear the door opening behind me, as I was trying to pull a loose thread out from my jumper.
"You took forever Jai, I started to get worried you were going to ditch me in this dark room."
I giggled knowing that he would never have done that.

I looked up into the mirror and...

it all went black.
