I look in the mirror and I see a girl.
A girl with bangs, long eyelashes, and dark circles under her tired eyes.
But "she" is not female. "She" is male.
He is trapped inside his female cage.
Unable to get out. To show people who he is. All he wants is to cut his hair. All he wants is to shop in the boys section at the store. All he wants is to be recognized as he, not she. But he struggles everyday. He tries his hardest not to go back to his old habits. Not to chop off his hair. He tries to keep a smile on for his parents. At night he talks to the friends online who accept him, but he wishes that someone he could meet and really interact with would accept him too. He wishes he could tell people that he is transgender, without the looks of judgement and disgust. But instead, he wakes up, brushes his long hair, puts on his pink sweater and jeans, and tries not to cry.
