A Game Worth Playing (BENdrowned x Reader)

What is this?

Where am I?

It was pitch black. The room felt compressed.

I could barely breath, my chest felt tight.

Soon I realized my eyes were closed. I opened them but I still saw black. I knew my eyes were open this time.

I heard screams in the distance. No, they weren't really screams, they were cries.

It sounded like a boy crying in pain. The voice raspy but deep. It sounded a lot like.....BEN!

Oh my God. "BEN!" I yelled out. "Where are you?" I screamed.

"OH GOD OH GOD NO PLEASE! AHHHHH" BEN was yelling.

Every time I heard him scream I felt a pain in my chest. I needed to find him. I tried to run but I couldn't move. At all.

"BEN! B-BEN!" I screamed.

I heard him screaming. Then he screamed once more and it went silent. "BEN?" I whimpered.

The room changed color. It was no longer black, it was a deep crimson red. Black then started dripping down the red walls. All I heard now was static. I was now unable to speak. I could only listen to the ear-piercing static noise. I couldn't think, I couldn't even hear my own heart beat, the static was so loud. I felt a sharp pain sting my back. I opened my mouth in pain trying to scream but nothing came out.

I gasped and shot up from my air mattress. I had my hands on the side of my head. My heart beating fast and my shirt was drenched in sweat from fear. My hands were clammy, Sweat also lining my forehead. I recapped what had just happened, my chest still tight from fear. Realization hit that it was only a dream. I exhaled with relief. Sally was still sleeping so it must be early. I got up and looked out of Sally's pink floral curtains. It was a dark blue outside which told me that it was around 5 o'clock in the morning. I heard rain hitting the roof and window. I couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to take a shower and get ready. When I was dressed and out of the shower, I realized today was my date with BEN. I went back into Sally's room and she was still asleep. It was still raining outside but the sky was now a lighter greyish blue. "Good morning (Y/N)." Sally yawned. I turned away from the window,
"Good morning!" I said cheerfully. She yawned again and rubbed her eyes.
"Why are you up and dressed already?" She asked.
"I decided to get an early start." I replied. She just nodded in response. BEN and I didn't want anyone to know about our date so when it was time to leave, we would have to sneak out.
It was about 7:30 now. I decided to go downstairs and get some breakfast. "Hmm.." I thought out loud at what I wanted to eat. I couldn't eat too much because I was nervous about tonight. I just got some cereal. I went upstairs to brush my teeth and what not, and I ran into BEN along the way. "Morning BEN." I said.
"Good morning (Y/N)!" He said smiling. Well he sure seemed happy. "You seem happy." I said.
"Oh I do? Well I guess I am happy because y'know...tonight." BEN said.

"Yeah I'm pretty happy too." I responded.

Time passed and several hours went by. It was a boring rainy day. The sky is grey but that doesn't get BEN or I in a bad mood. Our moods have been over the top, I guess you could say that. I was in me and Sally's room. We were playing dolls with each other. It was actually fun watching Sally enjoy herself playing dolls. "(Y/N), you seem very happy today." Sally said.
"Well people have happy days and people have bad days. Today just happens to be a happy day for me." I said smiling.
"But it's raining! How is it a happy day when its raining outside and we can't go for a walk or play outside?" Sally whined.
"Don't let the rain outside ruin your day inside. See we're having fun right now aren't we?" I said.
"Yeah you're right!" Sally cheered. Just then I got a text. It was from BEN.

Hey u ready to go?

I smiled just thinking about the night ahead of me.

Yeah I will be down in a sec.

"Well Sally I have to go okay? I have to run some errands. I'll be back soon." I told her.

"Okay have fun!" She said.
I walked out of her room and snuck downstairs. BEN was waiting on the couch. "Hey," he greeted.
"Hi," I said back.
"Ready?" He said getting up.
"Yes."
Just as we were getting ready to leave and walk out the door, it burst open revealing my worst nightmare.
