Yup, I'm with them.

Chapter 1

"Make some friends!" Those three words have been engraved on my mind since my mom dropped me off. My name is Marie, Marie Skywalker and I've been standing on my new school's main entrance for about ten minutes, I mean can you blame me? I'm gonna be the girl who comes to school in the middle of the year, who does that? Oh yeah my mom. She couldn't wait till this year to end so we could move. But right now it doesn't matter cuz yet I'm still here in my new school TEN MINUTES LATE!!!

I go to the office where a way to happy lady gives me my schedule. I check and see that my first class is..... Spanish room 306. I look through all the doors until I find one that says:

I knock on the door."Come on in!!!" Ms. Muñoz I believe, yells. Oh great now all the class is staring at me. " Uhm hi I'm Marie sorry I-" " You may be new but you can't be late for my class, I will let this one go but the next time you get detention." I nod. "So I believe your not from here?" She asks. "Uhm no, I'm Dominican." I say. " Oh entonces tu hablas español ?" She asks. "Si, me mude hace dos semanas con mi mama y hermano menor." I explain. After our little conversation she clears her throat and says " Ok you can sit next to Ryan over there." She says pointing at the tall guy with tanned skin on the back of the room.

I sit next to Ryan and Ms. Muñoz says we are gonna start reading on chapter 5 of our textbooks , she points at the girl in front of me and she starts reading.

"So what was that?" Ryan whispered. "Uhm what? I asked quite confused. "The whole si señorita." He responds in a mocking tone.

"You mean having a conversation with the teacher?" I asked.

"Yeah, do you want to seem like the teacher's pet on the first day of school, that's stupid." He says.

"Woah thanks, but last time I checked I didn't ask for your opinion." I answered sassily. I hear him scoff.

"Ms. Marie, Mr. Ryan, I'm sorry am I interrupting your talking?" Ms. Muñoz asked.
Boy this is going to be a long year.
