Chapter 16

"That's great Marie, now let's eat." John said, I'm pretty sure he was dying to eat.

I start eating whatever the fuck it is in my plate, I seriously don't know what this is....it's salty and weird but whatever. 2 minutes pass and people start talking, leaving me awkwardly eating my food not making eye contact with any human being.

"Hey don't talk so much." Calum jokes, making me smile. "Do you like the food?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said. "Thanks." I added. He smiled making me blush, ahhhh his smile is so beautiful.

"You're really cute when you blush." Calum comments making my face look like a tomato. I've never known how to reply to compliments so I just smile. I take another bite of my weird yet delicious food. He stares at me making me self conscious.

"What?" I asked. "It's just you're really cute." He said, by the look on his face he didn't want me to hear so I didn't say anything .

"You guys are cute..." Danielle comments. Making me blush, what's with making me blush today? "Are you guys together?" She asked. I shook my head. "Well you should." She adds making me laugh.

"I'm serious, I swear you guys were having a tfios moment." She said.

"Yeah I'm not looking for a boyfriend." I said. Boyfriends are too complicated, especially now that the band and I have to work so hard.

"Whatever you say..." She said.

When everyone finished we all went to our rooms. As I make my way to my room, I remembered my mom told me to call her when I get to the hotel.

"Shit!!" I whisper yelled under my breath. I jog to my room like the lecture is gonna be shorter if I get there faster.

I open my bedroom door and see someone's suitcase on the bed I was saving for Kaylynn or Jasmine. I take the closest thing I saw just in case.

"Hello?" I asked. "Anyone there?"

I hear noise coming from the bathroom. I quietly go to my bathroom.

"Hiii!!" Someone said making me jump.

"Aahghhhhhhh." I screamed, jumping almost hitting her with the weird object. Then I realized it was my middle school and high school best friend Mia.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I asked angrily because I hate getting scared, I don't know why but I feel weak.

"Damn good to see you too." She said sassily, I rolled my eyes at her. I hugged her she hugged me back.

"Now what are you doing here?" I asked when we pulled away.

"Well I was gonna go visit you in Canada but then your mom told me were gonna go on tour with some Australian band and so I came here." She explained. Mia and I are best friends since eight grade, she lived in Dominican Republic, she's half Dominican half American.

"You almost gave me a heart attack." I said putting my hand in my chest.

"Sorry." She simply said.

"Marie tomorrow we-" Matt came in but noticed Mia. "Oh hi." He said embarrassed.

"Hi." Mia said.

"What were you going to say?" I asked.

"John told me tomorrow we have to choose the songs we're gonna perform." He said not breaking eye contact with Mia.

"Ok." I said taking him to the door. "Bye." I said slamming the door in his face.

I turn to Mia . "He's cute." She said making me chuckle. Oh how I missed her.
