Momma holds your hand
Says have a great day
I'll see you at three
Go make new friends
Go be happy

The last first day of elementary
Through the year
You made your best friends
That you will hold on to
It's always going to be them and you

Last day of 8th grade
You never had to say goodbye before
Then it's the last breath you take there
As you walk out that door
Few friends going off on their own
But you still have some to call your home

First day of high school
Freshman year
They say it goes by quick
But it dragged on for you
New friends new school
Not too bad
So much to do
Now here we are
First day of senior year
You never thought it would be here
You never thought it would come so soon
And you're looking for a new start now
Craving new friends at a new school
But you're terrified
To leave behind
This hometown you once knew
Looking back
Years from now
At the photographs
Showing my daughter the fun I had
