Author's Note: A Rondeau Poem
A rondeau is a 15 line poem written with two rhymes. The challenge being to arrange for the refrains to ensure the meaning of the poem in a succinct and interpretive manner.
The rondeau has three stanzas and its rhyme scheme is as follows: (1) A A B B A (2) A A B with refrain: C (3) A A B B A with concluding refrain C. The refrain must be identical with the beginning of the first line.Let's Have Fun
Let's have fun and go play some ball.
Just so long as it doesn't hit my eyeball.
Perhaps we should do a practice drill.
If you think that will help avoid a spill.
Maybe I should give the coach a call.I think he's shopping at the mall.
He could be cleaning out the hall.
Practice though will give him a thrill.
Let'have fun!How about you try out your fastball?
Just so long as it doesn't hit the wall
and only until you have had your fill.
Your too young to have written a will.
Off to the park we go to play softball.
