—William Shakespeare, Hamlet.

Victoria's POV

Inhale. Exhale.

The sea green river glistened under the sunlight as the soft waves crashed into each other. I held my hand up and closed my eyes. I relaxed my arms and focused on the sound of the water slamming against the river bed. The air around me thickened and the wind harshly blew my hair. The river started shaking, the waves getting impatient. I angled my palm and water burst from the middle of the river, it ran upwards. It flew like it wanted to reach for the sky with struggling arms but before It could cause commotion, I closed my fingers. The water splashed back into the river and water flew around. The harsh waves became calm and the atmosphere lightened.

I shrugged my huge coat off and fished out a sliver lighter. It had a symbol in the middle which represented my family. A burning fire carved delicately and a stream of running water around it. It represented our ability to control Fire and Water. We were called the Art Benders, that basically meant elemental manipulators. I lifted the lighter in my palm and pressed the button to light it. A flame erupted from the black hole and I took a calm breath before lifting my other hand and aligning it with the flame. The atmosphere again picked up the unnatural action and the wind blew faster. The fire however rose higher and higher, I angled my hand towards a large branch and in a matter of seconds, it was smoldering under the blazing fire. I lifted some water up from the river and sprayed the branch with it. The smell of burning wood reached my nose and I grimaced.
I will never get used to the smell.

The sound of loud applause brought me out of my reverie. I looked up to see Sean and two other unknown people, a boy and a girl, clapping with huge grins on their faces. The Alpha was also there as our gazes locked for a few seconds before Sean's voice brought me back but he still kept looking at me. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks and I bit my lip trying to stop myself from saying something innapropriate.

"I wasn't aware you were an Art Bender," Sean said, his eyes glittering in awe.

"No one was, Sean. Then again, we shoud've known she wasn't just any normal werewolf." The Alpha spoke, his voice held dominance and confidence and something that I couldn't quite place my finger on.

Sean and the other two must've noticed because they looked curiously towards him. He looked back at them, his gaze sharp. They averted their attention towards the the ground. A sign of submission and respect towards the Alpha.

I however, looked at him as curiously as I pleased. After all, he wasn't my Alpha.

"I'm Ariana," the girl spoke, "and this is my mate Asher."

Ariana was downright beautiful. I'm not even kidding, the girl made me feel insecure. She had a think mane of dark brown waves that reached her waist and copper almond shaped eyes. Overall she reminded me of a Greek godess. Her mate gave me a small smile, he had muscles but he didn't look beefy. He also had a sharp jawline and a light stubble with dark grey eyes. They made an adorable pair.

"I'm Victoria," I smiled at her.

"I know," she gave me a grin and I laughed.

The Alpha cleared his throat and Ariana held her mates hand and gave me a small wave before walking way with Sean in tow.

I picked my coat off the ground and slipped the lighter inside before securing it around my waist. The Alpha followed my movements with his eyes and I felt a blush creeping up my cheeks. He walked closer to me and stood right before me. He wore casual clothes today, A dark blue shirt under a black hoodie. He wore a pair of worn out jeans and converse. He also supported a light stubble on his sharp jawline. Screw Theo James, can I have a piece of this man?

I tucked a stray piece of hair behind my ears as I looked up at him. Literally.

I could feel my heart rate speeding up as I took him in. These feelings should be forbidden. I don't even know who my mate is, and I'm feeling horny around an overly handsome guy. Oh, how I wish he is my mate. I'll need my wolf to tell me that though, and she isn't exactly reachable.

"You're an Art Bender," He spoke.

"No shit," I rolled my eyes.

He narrowed his eyes at me, "Do not forget who you're talking to. I may not be your Alpha, but you're under me for the time being. I won't tolerate you disrespecting me."

This time, I controlled the urge to roll my eyes and nodded at him. His cold eyes softened and a hint of amusement sneaked under his large walls.

"You're good at this, but a little more practice will make you better," He stepped closer.

"Yes Alpha," I let out a shaky breath.

"You can call me Aiden, but only when we're alone," I could feel his hot breath of the tip of my nose.

"Aiden," I tested out.

I felt his breath hitch I smiled despite myself. Could he be attracted to me? Who am I kidding, why would he be attracted to me? He is probably making fun of me.

I took a step back and folded my arms.

"Can I help you with something?" His dazed eyes snapped back to thier cold state and he scowled. Why is he angry?

"Yes, your mother has woken up."

As soon as he said those words I was running towards the pack house - more like pack mansion. I ran through the large Oak doors and straight towards her room. I slammed the door open to find my mother sitting on the bed with teary eyes.

"Mom," My voice broke and I ran towards my her.

"My baby," she rubbed her hand on my back and Hugged me close.

I could feel myself tearing up so I pulled away and looked at her, wanting answers.

"Mom, why were we attacked? What did we do that dad had to get killed this brutally?"

She sighed, her tears falling faster.

"As you know, Ten years ago, the family of the most finest Art Benders, the gnomes - earth manipulators had called war against all the manipulators. Salamanders- Fire, Undines- Water and Sylphs- Air,"

Well, I knew that. Our groups were names after the original supporters of these four elements. They haven't been seen for the last two hundred years, and are possibly extinct. Some say, they passed their abilities to the most influential creatures after them, the werewolves. Four families in the entire werewolf history were chosen and now their children's, children's, children posses those powers. I however, got both the powers. Considering my dad, the fire manipulator and my mother, the water manipulator turned out to be mates. Simple.

"Yeah,"

"Well, you're one of the most powerful werewolves.." she coughed, " considering you posses two elements. Just like four families, there will only be four werewolves who will posses two elements. The eldest and youngest children of the last earth manipulators were left, the eldest had been murdered by her mate. They had a son who was never found and the youngest also ran away and was never found. I think they're back, and they want revenge. If they kill you, they can kill both the water and fire manipulators."

Oh.

I let a breath I wasn't aware I was holding and gave her a shaky smile.

"Well, that will certainly make my night sleepless,"

"I'm sorry baby, your father died protecting his little princess. I won't let anyone harm you,"

I hugged my mum and let out a low sigh.

I know you will mom, I know you will.
