Sorry for not updating yesterday, I had gotten home late from college and wasn't able to write and get this chapter out in time 

*Next day/Tami's POV*

Today I was meeting Josh's parents, Mason wasn't coming with us since he didn't want to but also because we would feel awkward around them so Mason was spending another day with grandpa. I got changed into my cream colour dress along with my flats, I curled my hair and did my makeup while taking my time since Josh was dropping Mason off to his grandpa's but I noticed that Josh was taking awhile to get back. I finished doing my makeup and checked how I looked in the mirror (MEDIA) before grabbing my bag and putting my phone, keys and £20 in. I walked downstairs just as the front door opened and Josh walked in, I smiled at him 

"Have fun?" I asked and raised an eyebrow 

"Mason's grandpa asked me a lot after Mason told him that me and you are dating" Josh said and leaned against the door 

"Scared?" I asked 

"Very" Josh said 

"Don't worry, me and Luke got the same treatment when we were together" I said, Josh sadly smiled at me when he saw tears in my eyes once I mentioned Luke's name 

"You know I'm not trying to replace him right? I don't mind you talking about him" Josh said 

"I know but don't want to talk about him much since Mason has grown closer to you and I don't really want to bring Luke in. Mason finally has a father figure and I'm happy, that's all that matters and I know Luke would want that" I said, Josh took hold of my hand 

"Let's go, don't want to be stuck in traffic now do we?" Josh said changing the subject, I smiled and nodded. Thing I love about Josh is that he knows when I don't want to talk about something and just change the subject. I followed Josh to his car after locking the front door, we both got into the car and Josh pulled out the driveway

{Skipping Journey}

We were stood in front of Josh's parent's house and I was really nervous, Josh noticed and gave my hand a squeeze before ringing the doorbell

"What if they don't like me because I have a son?" I asked 

"They will love you, I promise" Josh said and kissed my head. The door then opened to reveal a women maybe in her 40s or 50s 

"Josh" She said and pulled him into a hug, he let go of my hand and hugged her back 

"Hi mum" Josh said then his mum pulled away and faced me, I smiled

"You must be Josh's girlfriend, Tami?" His mum said

"Yea that's me. It's lovely to meet you Mrs Zerker" I said as I was pulled into a hug by her, I hugged back 

"Call me Rebecca" Josh's mum said then pulled away from the hug 

"Rebecca" I said, she smiled before letting us into the house. Josh lead me to the living room where we sat down 

"Where's dad?" Josh asked 

"Right here son" I turned my head to see Josh's dad standing in the doorway, Josh got up and gave his dad a hug before sitting back down beside me 

"You must be Tami" Josh's dad said and held his hand out 

"The one and only Mr Zerker" I said and shook his hand 

"David" Josh's dad said and I nodded my head, David sat down next to Rebecca (I don't know his parent's name so allow me)

"So how long have you guys known each other?" David asked 

"About 6/7 months now" Josh said, I looked at Josh and he looked at me knowing what I was thinking

"We actually have to tell you something since the person isn't actually here" Josh said, his parents looked at us

"Go on" Rebecca said, I take a deep breath before speaking

"I have a five years old son and he's not Josh's" I said 

"But I'm willing to take responsibility and look after her and her son" Josh said and held my hand, we both looked at Josh's parents waiting for a reaction 

"Where is the father of the child?" David asked, I was about to answer when Josh beat me to it 

"He was involved in an accident, he's no longer around" Josh said, we watch as Rebecca and David look at each other 

"Would we get to meet him?" Rebecca asked 

"Of course" I said 

"You ok with being the father of a child that doesn't have your DNA son?" David asked Josh 

"Obviously, I love Tami and I love Mason. They both mean everything to me, call me crazy but I am really glad to have them in my life. Take care of Mason is the best thing, me and the guys have been teaching him how to play FIFA, other games and a few football tricks. He grew up around girls and never had a male figure in his life and I'm glad to be that figure he looks up to" Josh said 

"He's grown attached to the guys since  we lived with them for a few months" I said 

"Why was that?" Rebecca asked 

"Someone had broken into their house" Josh said 

"Oh my" Rebecca said 

"Look, we are glad you have told us about your son Tami and we are happy for you guys. It will take sometime for us to get use to the fact that Josh now has responsibility, well has a family of his own even if your son isn't blood related" David said before holding his wife's hand 

"His name is Mason?" Rebecca asked 

"Yea, it's his father's middle name" I said

"Well, we'll be happy to be in Mason's life" David said with a smile which was matching his wife's, I sigh in relief 

"Thank you so much" I said as tears well up, Rebecca stood up and held her arms out for me. I stood up and accepted the hug and let a tear roll down my face. Today has been a lot better than I have expected plus me and Mason have been accepted by Josh's parents which is just a bonus...

A/N

So just some random/funny fact, my nan's house has a squirrel.. Yep, a squirrel. So it climbed in through the kitchen window and now hiding in the house.. The fact that I was at my nan's yesterday and today, I find out the information today just as I was about to leave.. Not going there until the squirrel is gone

Also my younger brother tripped over the laptop charger and I was dying because he goes like "I love the new clock but I hate the charger" Basically my mum brought a new clock for the living room and my brother tripped while he was looking at it
