~Breath of Forever~

A chill brushes her lips,

While the frost ran smooth and silver.

Tears glide like glass ships.

Another echo from the watch face.

The birds falter while the wind whips.

Dirt crackles with forgotten embers.

From all around breath slips,

Into velvet folds of cloth.

Caked with wisdom's dust,

The answer becomes a feast for all.

But who are they to have her trust?

Doors open unto curtains of rain.

Feelings melt into colors on the artist's palate of lust,

Clicking like the letters if wet grass fields.

Questioning eyes in tomorrow trust,

Ideas of a her without a me.

Never ending waves of hope,

Just the way her and I need seconds.

Biting and coarse as the binding rope,

Wall can keep in dark and out light.

Moss coats a rock rolling down a slope,

Defining shadows as a way of life.

The melting snowflake has a way to cope,

Sheltered in the breath of forever.
