Alexis
I woke up the next morning to my stomach hurting. I looked at the clock and it was 6:54 in the morning.
I got out of bed and went downstairs to get something to eat.
I grabbed me an orange out the fridge and was startled by Keith.
"Oh my god.!!" I screamed lowly
"My bad yo." He said, "What you doing up so early?"
"To get some food. My stomach is killing. What bout you?" I said
"Munchies." He said with an ugly voice
"Cool."
"So uh, what you and Chris was talking bout?"
"Nothing. Just getting to know eachother."
"You like him?" He asked
"No." I said grabbing the bread
"Don't be doing my nigga." He said
"He's cool and all but I ain't looking for a relay. You feel me?" I said grabbing the jelly out the fridge
"That's why I got hos." He said laughing
"Can you pass me a spoon?" I asked laughing
"You wanna make another one of those?" He asked
"Sure. How many?" I asked putting peanut butter on the other half
"Uh about 3 or 4."
"For just you? Fat ass."
"Naw. Chris and Mikey still here."
"Oh. Is my mom and Ray back yet?"
"Naw they stayed at a hotel. They said they had too much to drink, but we know what that means." He said laughing
"Ewwwww. That's disgusting." I said laughing
"Hey, it's the truth." He said
"Well I don't want to know about their sex life." I said finishing up the sandwiches
"Thanks, 'preciate it." He said walking away with 3 bottles of water and the sandwiches
I went back up to my room and tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't. I was still tired but nothing was letting me go to sleep. After laying in the bed for about a hour I decided to get in the shower. I got out and put on a Knicks shirt and some sweats. I walked out the bathroom and bumped into Chris.
"My bad ma" He said
"I'm fine." I said
"Knicks? We in LA baby."
"I'm from New York and don't call me baby." I said walking away
"Aight. So you from New York?" He asked following me
"Yeah. Why?" I asked stopping to face him
"Cool place. What part?" He said giving eye contact
"Brooklyn if you must know." I said turning to walk away
"Cool. Don't know much about the place really."
"Where you from?"
"Virginia. I moved here when I was 10."
"So you've been here for a while?"
"Yeah. This your first time out here?"
"No. When my mom moved here a few years back, I visited in the summer."
"So I got a question."
"Ask away." I said rolling my eyes
"What's a guy like me gotta do to take you on a date?"
"I'ma be honest. I ain't looking for no relationship."
"We could go as friends then. Get to know eachother more and have fun at the same time."
"I don't know...." I trailed off
"The Carnivals in town. I would love for you to come with me." He said
"Say yes already.!!!" Shouted Keith
"Please?" Asked Chris
"I guess but just as friends." I said
"Okay."
"What time?"
"How about 2:30?" He asked
"I guess. Now can I get some rest?"
"Sure thing beautiful." He said walking out my room
"Bye Chris." I said as he closed my door
I laid in bed thinking. I wonder how my day with Chris will be. He better not try anything slick either. I eventually fell asleep.
Chris
I'm glad that Alexis is coming with me to the carnival. Nothing like a friendly date to the carnival right.
"So you taking her to the Carnival?" Asked Keith
"Yeah man."
"Be careful with her. I don't wanna hear my pops mouth."
"I got you man. I'm bout to go, Mike you need a ride?"
"Naw man, I'm good. Got a girl on the way to scoop me up."
"Aight man. I'm out."
I went home and chilled. My mom had already left for work and her boyfriend, Chase, was out of town on a business trip. I went and made me a bowl of cereal and watch TV til it was time for a shower. I got out and put on cargos, a purple tee, and the grapes with a hornets snapback. I sprayed on some cologne and put on a chain and my diamond earrings. I got in my white 2011 Chevy Impala and drove back to Alexis and Keith's house. Alexis was out front in wearing blue jeans with her grapes on and a white t-shirt with a purple tank top underneath it. He hair was curly with bangs.
"I see you tryna look like me." I said
"Funny." She said walking towards my car
"You look beautiful though." I said opening the door for her
"Your not so bad yourself" She said blankly
I got in the car and pulled off towards the Carnival. It was a drive there but hey it was worth it. We we're listening to Pandora when Aaliyah's "I Miss You" came on. Alexis started singing it but lowly. I turned it up a little because I admired her voice dearly. She was such a beauty to me.
"Now I'm sitting heerree.... thinking bout you and the days we use to share...." She sung
I turned the music down some.
"I take it your a fan?"
"Yeah. I love her. Such a beautiful person. One of my favs." She said
"Yeah she's nice. I had a crush on her growing up."
"Why wouldn't you? She was a beautiful woman."
"Tell me more about your favorite singers." I said
"I like a little of everything. Mostly old school music. My father plays alot of old music."
"I grew up listening to the Temptations and the Jackson 5. Matter of fact my favorite singer is Mike."
"Me too.!! I love him. What's your favorite song by him?"
"Beat it. What about you?"
"Human Nature. I've loved that song since I first heard it."
Today is gonna be great.!!!
