•Luke's POV•
Boston. Just a little bit more and we're off to Europe. I'm not sure if I'm excited. There's just a lot going on and I still don't know what to expect.
"I definitely need new clothes," Michael said.
We were walking inside the building where we were supposed to meet the ones managing the shows here. Also, our manager said there are important matters to discuss, which just made the four of us tense. In this world, new things will definitely make you nervous.
"We can go get new clothes later maybe," Ashton said. "But first, we have to get through this meeting thing."
"I swear if this'll affect a lot in our career, I'm out," Calum said.
"Fuck you," I said.
"Kidding, you know?"
We all went inside the room where the meeting was going to be held. They looked all professional and there was a girl in a nude colored dress on her iPad.
Michael whistled softly.
I nudged him. "You perv," I said.
"I wasn't doing anything!" He laughed.
We all took our seats and they greeted us. I started playing with my lip ring since I have nothing in my hands. My phone started to go haywire a few days ago so I had to get a new one.
They were already talking but I stayed silent, looking at everyone in the room. The girl in the nude dress doesn't look up from her iPad, though.
I sigh. Her blonde hair reminds me so much of Stella. I really do miss her too much. I want to go home and make it up to her but she made it clear that she didn't want me in her life anymore. It hurts. She knew I was always going to wait for her. She's my best friend and I don't think I can just forget about her.
You and I are running out of time.
But you know that I'll always wait for you.I tapped Calum's leg and asked for his phone. He looked confused but he handed it to me anyway. Before my phone started to malfunction, I made sure to copy the new song I was making on Calum's phone so I added the new lyrics I just thought of.
"So, this is Alice, by the way," one of the guys said. "She's gonna have to—"
"If this is going to be a publicity stunt, we're out," I immediately said, standing up. "Spreading false things about people just to gain fame isn't worth it. It dissapoints a lot of people."
"Luke, sit down," Ashton said.
"Luke," the same guy said, closing his eyes for a second. "Alice is not going to be a publicity stunt. I aas about to say she's gonna have to take photos of you boys during concert so we can promote you guys."
My eyed widened a bit and I suddenly felt embarrassed. Dammit, Luke. Think before you speak, I thought.
"You really should, Luke," Calum said.
I roll my eyes at him as I sit down. "I'm sorry. I'm just tired."
The guy sighs. "Well, so it's settled. After Boston, you guys will fly to Europe. Alice will come with you guys. She'll be in charge also of the posters of your shows."
Alice finally looked up and I was shocked by her striking blue eyes. They were almost the same as mine. "Uh, yeah this is quite new to me and you guys are the first artists I'm working for. I hope I'll do good."
"Sure, you will!" Michael smiled.
Everyone in the room looked at him with a weird expression. When I turned back to Alice, she shot me a really short glare and went back to doing things in her iPad.
