• Stella's POV •

"Good morning, Sydney, Australia from the southern hemisphere of the world! It's a bright sunny day and we're currently at 29 degrees..."

I groaned, turning to face the other side of my bed. I tried to keep the pillow on top of my head, occasionally pushing it down to drown out all the talking.

"... And I welcome you, Stella Monique Mead, to your sophomore year in NWCC or popularly known as Nothwest Christian College."

"Kian, I didn't order a wakeup call," I yawned, rubbing my eyes.

"Yeah but mom said I have to wake you up," he said. He was sitting on my study chair and his feet were on the edge of my bed. His phone was also in his right hand, probably where he wrote down his morning speech.

"Okay, okay," I said, pulling myself into a sitting position. "I'm up."

"Go and get ready," Kian said, standing up and placing back my chair. "If you're late, I'm leaving you."

"Fucker," I mumbled. Kian has been strict since he got his own car. He's been dying to have one during freshmen year but Mom and Dad won't let him. Now that he's 21, they finally allowed him after he got his license.

I immediately headed for the bathroom. I let the warm water pour down my body. I lathered shampoo in my hair, soaped my body and dried myself with my towel. I went back inside my room and headed for my closet. I picked out the clothes I'd like to wear for the first day in sophomore year... in college.

I settled for a large Iron Maiden shirt, a pair of black leggings and my white Doc Martens. I fixed my bag, which had a notebook, a book and some pens. I placed my phone in there as well because I have no pockets and after clipping my hair to the side, I headed downstairs.

"Good morning, Stell," Mom greeted me. "It was a good that Kian was able to wake you up."

"Yeah, on the wrong side of the bed," I said, sitting on the dining table. I munched down the mixture of fruit loops and corn flakes, which was, of course, done by my brother, Kian.

"Where's the guy now?" I asked, looking around.

"He said he'll come back for you because he thought you were taking too long," Mom said. "He went to pick up Zee."

Oh sure. Leave your sister for your girlfriend. Great thinking, Kian. I truly appreciate it.

Don't get me wrong, I like Zee and Kian together. They seem to like each other so much and you can see how they make effort just to make each other happy. I like them like that and I honestly wish they'd last long.

"That's so nice of him," I sighed.

Mom laughed. "Your father's at the garage. Want him to bring you to school?"

"Mom!" I exclaimed. "I'm not in high school anymore, thanks. I'll just go by myself."

Just then, a car beeped outside followed by Kian calling out to me. "Stella, come on! First day of school! It's not a fashion show!"

I immediately got up from my seat, drank water and bid my mom goodbye.

"Tell Dad bye too!" I said, running out of the door.

Pretty much, Zee was there, riding shotgun. She had her hair colored different this time (thank the Lord of the heavens) after five years. It was now colored mint green which makes her stand out a lot. She was also wearing a flower crown and her eyes had winged eyeliner. She's changed over the two years we've spent together.
