• Stella’s POV •
I woke up earlier than I had to. It was just 5:30 am and I already had a shower and changed into my clothes. What just happened last night? Did I actually talk to Luke again? Was his voice the one I heard on the other side of the line?
I clicked on the Twitter app on my phone and tweeted:
@Stellartsy: So up early! Didn’t think I’d do this but hello!
In a matter of amazingly three seconds, people started retweeting, favoriting and replying to my tweet. I checked my notifications and my mentions were exploding with questions and other kinds of tweets. One called me mom, the other called me a faggot, the other asked what I was wearing today and the other one said good morning. The rest were random stuff about Luke and I. Over the years, I got used to being tweeted and asked questions because having the fandom slightly know about your past relationship with the lead singer of 5 Seconds of Summer is kinda hard… and distracting.
Not wanting to be a bitch, I replied to some of them and exited the Twitter app. I closed my eyes and started to think.
I have to stop this.
This has to end.
Or I don’t know… should it? I mean, both of us will have a hard time catching up on each other because of the time zones and the busy schedules. I still attend college and Luke goes on tour and records amazing music. Maybe I should? But it’s hard. Like I said, I can’t just forget about the things we’ve been through because we have a tight bond. We’re two birds of a feather.
But on the other hand, things will be easier if I told him that maybe it’s enough. He would be freer and I would too. He wouldn’t have to worry about having late night calls with me and I wouldn’t have to worry about girls being head over heels for him. I still don’t know.

“… So since my mom said yes, as soon as you tell your parents and they say yes, everything in the apartment is ready,” Natalie said as we walked going to eighth period.
I tried to keep my eyes open as we walked because since I woke up early this morning, I am not in the mood to be talking as much. “That’s great, Nat,” I said. “I’ll tell mom and dad when I get the perfect chance.”
“Sweet,” she said.
“There are my main bitches,” Hunter said when we saw him standing on the side of the hallway with his arms spread out. “You guys look like you’ve been to a harsh game of tug of war. What’s up?”
“Stella woke up too early,” Natalie said. “Was it Luke?”
I head shot up at her at the sound of Luke’s name. No, I don’t want to hear his name. Not today. Not right now.
I slowly nodded. Yes, Natalie and Hunter know about Luke. They know about the common things, that we’ve been friends before he became my boyfriend, that we attended Silla High, that he’s in a band called 5 Seconds of Summer and that we love each other. But they didn’t know the rest. It was too hard for me to share it.
“We understand you, Stell,” Hunter said. “We know it’s hard to be communicating and catching up to your boyfriend who’s halfway across the world right now.”
“Yeah, thanks, Hunt,” I said. “Where’s your next period?”
“Other building,” he sighed, looking out the large window of the hallway. “Well, I’ll see you guys?”
Nat and I nodded at him before entering the classroom. The rest of the class was pretty boring because the new teacher’s voice was so soft I wanted to rip my hair out and scream at her that her voice is too soft but that wouldn’t be good and… yeah.
